I stopped using this service a year ago because I didn't understand the changes they were making (basically giving away PLUs to everyone). The price was decreasing, and after doing some calculations, I realized I would earn more with a 3% cashback in fiat currency. When I started with the free subscription, cashback was still an option. I was lucky because the price suddenly increased during the exchange, and I earned enough to cover the exchange and subscription fees.

I have stopped using my Plutus now, the ecosystem is too confusing, changes too frequently and has increasingly questionable value. I will return to my easy 2% cdc card. At least that is paid instantly and you know where you stand.

Thanks for the helpful information. I have a Plutus account but not using it, so no point in continuing with it, or is there a benefit in having the account?
@Mandalaman10 күн бұрын
No, there relly is not point. you cant redeem your PLU. The only way is with 10€ gift cards but you have to pay 5€ every time you want o use one. I have over 100PLU stranded in the app which i think i am just going to lose. And that is from me using the card for 3 years... So all of this for nothing. They tie you in with the monthly payment which you need to use your accumulated PLU but then make it basically imposible to redeem them without paying even more or them taking a big chunk.

Lately I've been fascinated by the BBR, I'm looking at building my own since I'm renovating my house. Would you recall where you bought the door (or more likely, do you have any plans?) Thanks in andvance! :)

I had the door made by a welder, the dimensions will be specific to your heater.

For 27 birds, you need at least two feeders. If the rooster is stopping anyone from eating, then put two or more feeders, and at least two waterers.

Thanks for sharing this information and your build. I am however wondering about the matrix wiring. I see that you have hook all the positive together as well as the negative in yhe battery bank. My question is do those wires go to anything like a balancing device or just used to tie all the positive and negative posts together to distribute the charge evenly?

Perhaps leaving the inlet completely open is not so efficient. Burns your wood too quickly…unable to heat the surrounding brick. Just a thought. Blessings
@martinottosson65832 жыл бұрын
The idea of a rocket heater is to burn hot and intense and then the exhaust gases heat the mass. Not the fire itself. Rather the opposite actually since the core is isolated in most builds.
@Calligraphybooster2 жыл бұрын
I certainly do it differently, and for the following reasons: firewood consists of many combustible compounds in a sponge of charcoal. When you heat all the wood at once, you can never feed the fire enough oxygen to burn all these compounds that are exiting the wood as smoke. So you want to build a fire that gradually heats the wood to give limited amounds of gases, and once degassed you have the bonus of burning the remaing charcoal. This method keeps the chimney almost free of soot, prevents grey ashes to swirl and leave through the chimney as fine and hazardous dust, and also is much more economical. It’s the preferred method both in The Alps and Scandinavia, and gaining ground elsewhere.

Best part is the enriched biochar can be used in hugurkultur techniques and burried beneath trees or shrubs for future growth. Slow release nutrients trapped in charcoal combined with pond, river or lake sludge for nitrogen that stimulates nutrient release from woody materials in the soil where the logs, twigs and biochar is digested microbially. And cleaning water bodies from biomass stops methane from being produced

I don't mind the music so much but the fundamental lack of respect for the earth bothers me. No grease trap and no real understanding as to how septic tanks actually work. I could also imagine the soil will either wash in or the barrel will collapse over time with the weight of soil. The one small meeting serface with the soil acts as grease trap, biological processing and for dispersion. As others have pointed out the meeting face in the tank will fill with food, grease, debris and soap forming a stinking bacterial scum barrier.

This is completely unacceptable for a Gray Water System, and grossly inadequate in terms of size. Typically, for a Kitchen Sink and/or Automatic Dishwasher you install a 300 to 500 gallon capacity drywell... that's Dry Well. A 55 gallon plastic drum is so small and undersized, it's not even funny, and it won't last long... maybe 2 or 3 years. Not to mention, you need lots of crushed stone or gravel for proper drainage of the gray water, usually 2 to 3 tons of stone.

Thank you for sharing this, it was very helpful in my research with working on figuring this out. I would be interested in knowing what the part numbers are on the semiconductors and that IC to help confirm some understandings I have. Your question about what was on top of the heatsinks, the three components wired together, those are bridge rectifiers that he is only using half of the diodes on the positive side in parallel instead of one big diode to protect the electronics from being hooked up with the polarities reversed which will cause damage to the panel and electronics.He was in the audio electronics business for decades and probably had a big box of those bridge rectifiers to use instead of spending a lot on one large diode in the beginning, but you can see in one of his videos they eventually used just one large diode instead. Your other question was about the brown stuff on the terminals and if that was from over heating. That is just left over soldering flux from when the buss wires were soldered on, it is completly normal to see in electronics and has nothing to do with over heating of a heat sink like you think.

One more thing, if you want to mount to wall, you could remove the feet off the bottom of the unit and use those holes to screw to wall, or to screw to a larger metal plate, so that the plate then screws into the wall holding the unit.

Hey bud, I have been watching your videos and I have ordered a TeslagenX Solar tracker 5 which is basically from the same guys, and I was wondering if I could get advice from you and your input on it?. I would love to be able to pick your brain!. My email is [email protected] if you could e-mail me. I just need advice on how many batteries to use, what kind/brand you'd suggest after having used it, and any things you wish you had know before starting?. I have ordered a Victron Phoenix 3000VA and all my cables and just need advice on panels and batteries from someone who's already done it. If you can help out me and my family would be forever grateful!!!. Adam
