You would first make a Train with the 2 Engines (so they act like one). Then make your recording.

Yes the boxcar sounds are not linked to engine.

Why are you connecting it to the Tiu? Probably interfering the signal with the DCS signal.

@@pingkirsch1380 The DCS system is bi-directional, so it uses both rails (one signal in each direction), whereas Legacy is not and uses outer rail in one direction. I would try and connect your legacy signal directly to the distribution block outer rail, not anywhere on the TIU. It's not about ground it's about a clean signal. The base3 output needs to be connected to both loops, or the second loop won't have any signal. If the 2 loops have separate power supplies be careful, they are in phase.

Not yet until MTH releases a special USB pigtail, do not plug a phone cord in the aiu jack or you will fry the unit.

The Cab3 app has 2 sides (tabs) when you open the app. Bluetooth and Cab3. So yes, technically you can use it for the Bluetooth side only without a Base3, but the old Lionchief app could do that. You must have a Base3 to use the Cab3 side of the app for Legacy/TMCC functions for Command engines.

Only the New Base 3 Can control Lionchief Engines. So, if you get a Base 3 and Cab3 App, Cab2 Remote or Cab1L Remote, yes. Otherwise, no.

@@jungleboy258 It's the Base that controls it, not the remotes. The Base 3 has new technology to be able to program and control any Lionchief engine, which traditionally could only be controlled by Bluetooth (app or included remote) or the included RF remote if that type of Lionchief engine.

@ So in dcc operation in other scales you can release a locomotive from your control like release from your control. Also in dcc only one throttle is in control of a locomotive at a time, it has to be released for another throttle to aquire it. I found yesterday when operating with multiple operators using the cab 3 app we were both still in control of the same locomotive. Obviously I am more used to dcc than command control. You may have covered this in other videos and if you have I apologize. You seem to have done the most work with the app thus far so I figured I would reach out to you.

@@harley19752010 No Command does not do that. Any remote that is paired with the base can control the engine. In addition, using engine ID 99, controls multiple engines simultaneously.

Still works fine as far as opening and closing, but these had a known design defect where the lid will just randomly open and close. It became so widespread that Simple Human pretty much refused to replace them as the replacements had the same issue. So, they pretty much refused to honor their warranty. I got used to it, but basically the sensor gets confused, and their solution is to constantly unplug it or take batteries out and put back in.
