hey bro your studio has seriously progressed.... its been agood while since we spoke.. its me you friend across the water over in the uk... you were the man that schooled me to learn the mpc... its been a couple of years since i had my studio setup due to being f'd over by the guy i was getting my wrk... any way just got settled again and not only have i got to get my muscle memory going with the work flow... then i am now having to relearn the mpc as now i got the mpc 3 beta... have you any vids on it as your schooling is outstandingly the best way, easy to understand and explained perfectly

I have a Korg Nautilus 88 and the fan is quite loud when it boots up, but then thankfully it becomes near-silent after the OS fully loads. I have a dust cover on it (which my grandma made for me), and so far I've had no issues with CPU temperature at all. I didn't know the Montage M had a fan as well so that kinda surprised me. 😅

I just bought a Akai MPC 61 I'm trying to record my own guitar samples on the machine and then chop them up. I can record them but no matter what I do I cannot get them to play back. Anybody have any idea. I follow the instructions in the manual

@@csul5961 Ask you record your guitar. Press edit and make your chops hold down shift and convert. You'll go back to your main screen. Select a drum program On a different track and scroll t, you see your new program. Make sure you're on the correct bank too, I hope this helps

Doesn't it vent through the keybed? Another thing, as much power as it has being a computer inside, why don't they have HDMI out so you can hook a bigger monitor with touch. Screens do fail and you're screwed.

Does an SD card need to be in the MPC SE and Tascam 12 to function together?.. in stand alone. I’m not using any computers. I’m still working on hearing any sound from powered speakers. Thanks Poli.

Do you see the meters lighting up on the mixer when you press a pad on the mpc?

Yes. I see track 1 and 2 light up. I tried to pick 5 kits, then send them all to 5 different tracks to track them. But only channels 1 and 2 light up. So there is a signal going through. It’s also hard for me to hear just using the headphones straight to the MPC. Which has me stumped. I’m sure it’s small im doing to not hear the sound.

@@PoliPopo I have it there. I had to walk away for awhile… then come back from frustration.. lol. But I’m just plugging my headphones in the front of the mpc se and still here no sounds.. does that make any sense.? Is that because I’m trying to connect it to the mixer?.. I changed the settings in preferences.. trust me. Eventually I will get this right.

Mr. Polipopo… I need a lil Help.. lol. I don’t hear any sounds. I have model 12 and MPC SE. and I’m not sure how to connect my speakers .. do I need another component to make this work.? I have powered desk top speakers.. should the speakers be hooked up to MIXER and not the MPC SE. ?? I appreciate any advice. ., Keep creating. 🤟🏽

@@murfdasurf584 I have my speakers coming out of my mixer MP c outs going into the mixer to get the sound to go into individual channels, you'll need to press menu mixer or channel mixer, and then you can route the outputs to individual channels on the mixer. I'm not in front of the box right now, but I'm pretty sure that's how it works. I'm usually off on sundays and mondays.If you want to chop it up

You can also use the usb, but you'll have to go into menu.Audio devices and scroll over to the.Mtk, as a audio interface, I'd recommend using the eight outs though

Good afternoon Polipopo.. I tried the same technique on the Live 1. Will it be the same process? Only 1 pad loaded instead of 4 yellow pads. I also didn’t see the sequence in piano roll as yours did. You are the only person I am following to figure this out. Next week the SE will be here. Will the same technique work on that too? Or is this just for the Live II. ? Thanks for your time Poli. Ya know, I thought maybe you should do a beat camp.. on a weekend. Charge for classes …. and boarding is on the students. Food for thought. 🤟🏽

Does anyone know? Can you use USB B of Key 37 to *output* the L/R audio of a sequence? Asking as my mixer (a Yamaha MG10XU) has a USB B 2input/2output that allows for monitoring signal while NOT sending that monitored signal to the stereo out (i.e. this allows monitoring MPC tracks while laying down vocals, guitar, bass etc thru mixer into MPC).

However, I would just recommend using good old wires out the back of the mpc to the mixer fir best results

@@PoliPopo Thanks PoPo. I want to avoid wires as I think with this cheaper mixer there really isn't an AUX channel to speak of that can easily be separated from Main outs. BTW, are you in PHL? I noticed the Eagles hat!

This is not really a representative video of the Yamaha Montage M. Have you considered it might be just your board that has this issue and have you contacted Yamaha about it? I have a m8x and have no issues. There is no fan noise whatsoever. I also find this a weird ‘review’. Yes it is a complex board. But there’s manuals, instruction videos and people like Scott who truly make content to help people work their way through the possibilities and sometimes lesser parts of a keyboard. I don’t want to be disrespectful, but this video to me has nothing to do with a review of the montage m as a synthesizer.
