I'm a man & I have two sisters - one elder & other younger. My both sisters are well educated & university toppers. Elder sister is a doctor & younger sister is a software engineer with VP position. My both sisters cant deal with any sort of issues with their laptops. In case their laptops need a complete format or in need of new OS intsall, they just cant do it by themselves. I expect this to be easily manageable by my younger sister as she is software engineer & she is familiar working on linux OS at her workplace but even she is never ever bothered with installing any linux distro in her laptop. My younger sister is aware of basic linux commands but she is never bothered with installing & tinkering with linux distros. Once any linux distro is installed, it requires further tinkering to suit our needs. My both sisters just come to me & ask for help in installing distros or Windows OS or just any other laptop related issues. I am not highly educated than them & I am not also university topper like them, even I have wondered why this is so? Also I have never ever seen any girl even trying to root her android or ios device, this just seems to be a male thing. I really mean it, have you guys ever seen any girl trying to root/jailbreak her device & trying to install custom ROMs ? Also it is predominantly men who install linux distros in their laptops & tinker with it & this just comes so naturally to men & men are just self-motivated to do all these stuff. In case if we find any girl installing linux then rest assured she learned that by her some male acquaintance like boyfriend, brother or husband. I have never seen any girl is self motivated & tinkers around distros & does the distro hopping. Also it took me a very long time to realize that the general jokes which men enjoy amongst themselves are perceived to be offensive by most women. And the jokes enjoyed by women in general amongst themselves is perceived to be highly irrational by most men. Men & women differ & perceive things differently & this difference can be so vast that sometimes I feel that both just are incompatible in a lots of situations. Men & women really should not be working very closely because of such vast differnces, the words or jokes spoken by men can be perceived differenty than intended & most likely women feel offended, vice versa is also true. We just cant pretend that both are equal & should work together very closely. No wonder why there is low productivity all around in our workplaces no matter where we look.

I'm no audiophile, but tinkering with Linux and drones counts I guess? I'm a normal woman. Only difference is that I don't like authority so parents telling me to do things to appeal to men never worked with me. Time is a limited resource. You either spend it on increasing sexual appeal and betting on finding a rich man. Or you spend it on developing your mind. It just so happens that while women are attracted to strength, men are attracted to weakness (unfortunatelly, sometimes in extreme ways). So for a man to better his sexual appeal means to become better as a human (if I may use that word for someone who doesn't view me as such). For a woman though becoming a better self-actualized human means decreasing her sexual appeal. Men don't like experienced (not just sexually, overall in life) women. They like young women. So a woman spending youth on education and career = not attractive. Men like naive and stupid women. Smart woman = unattractive. So us women have to choose. Because humans are descended from animals, our desire of pleasure is pretty strong which leaves most women choosing sexual appeal. And of course there is the social pressure that tells you that you must be a certain way. The fear of being shunned by society is deep and is rooted in inability of our ancestors to survive alone in the wild. Requires conscious effort to overcome. You want to tinker? Your options are men's clubs. You go there and become a sole focus of the group. And if you do anything wrong, it's because you're a woman, not because you're a newbie. Gaming is a great example of that. But with gaming you at least can get a voicechanger that would make you sound male. Otherwise get ready for harrassment and hostile treatment by teammates the second they hear your voice. Is it any wonder there are less women in IRL competitive gaming?
