I had to try it cause it sounds impossible. I taped over my red dot and BAM it works. That is the shizzle, thanks

Yep, I did an AR-15 advanced training course earlier this year and we did that. I was shocked at how accurate all of us were.

As someone who uses shooting glasses with cheaters in them, when you are at the range with the CCW gun, you have to have a pair of shooting glasses with no cheaters in them. First time at the range with a red dot, I didn't have glasses without cheaters in them, so I was looking for the dot, and the cheaters were an issue with that. Not to mention some boob didn't bring the red dot manual that day, and I was dealing with a dim dot, in the bright sun.

I think you will really benefit from some trading in your area.

Well done!! I lost most of my vision suddenly, over night, in my dominant eye. I was RH and right eye dominant and I was already shooting with red dots. My brain adapted quickly and my left eye became dominant but it was still quite a change. I believe having the red dot helped me get back to where I was with two good eyes. I was slower but now the timer tells me I’m about where I was before. I still shoot iron sight’s occasionally with my MP 2.0 9mm just to know I can.

i’m still on team iron sights but I have been working on evaluating if a red dot makes sense for me. I have terrible astigmatism even with correction and the dot looks like a very fuzzy 12 pointed star that is very bloomed out. I don’t have that problem with iron sights. perhaps one day I will join you on the red dot boat. Until then, good shooting.

Thank you for another great video. Myself like you was not 100% on board with red dots, and every day carry pistols. After watching your video, I am definitely going to give them a second try and have been dry fire practicing to become more efficient at picking up the red dot and Decreasing my times. Your video has been very helpful and encouraging to me in getting back to using the red. Dot I am looking forward to your follow up videos on this issue. Thanks again for all the great content and videos you put out to help us in our everyday Carrie world.

Being past 40, I understand there is an adjustment to new technology. And having seen videos of a number of shootings which appeared to use the "spray and pray" technique from people perhaps afraid to take their eyes off their target, I note professionnel shooters seem to be able to maintain eyes on the situation and target while using a red dot.

Having never shot a red dot pistol I have to ask, what about astigmatism? I switched to prism optics on my rifles due to the flares i saw on my red dot. It helped my groupings with the rifle. Should this be a concern for a pistol red dot?
