Like most people I was gutted when I heard about Stuart’s death. Big Country have been and always will be my number one band ever. End of story. Always listening to boy's as well as Stuarts side gig with Marcus (The Raphaels). Reading some of the comments just reaffirms what I have thought for forty odd years. Singer, song writer, Guitarist, entertainer there are few in this world that can/could sit at the top table. Only ever managed to see the Big Country once in my life and it is also one of my biggest regrets. Can't help but think of all the music we could have enjoyed. So, remember him, his songs and if you need help talk to someone, anyone well all do at some point in our life's.

What was with all the snow videos from 1983/1984 as you had Big Country, Echo and The Bunnymen, U2 and pop like Wham....love it.

Thirty years after listening to this song for the first time, I still cant get it out of my head over & over. What do swan, swan, hummingbird really mean. It's such a sad song but personally, brings such joy reminiscing of my times originally adoring this for the first time.

I love Big Country, and Tommy is the best since Stuart, however, 3 guitars is a noisy mess, which is what I thought would happen when I found out Tommy was joining. Sorry, but this would be so much better with just Tommy and Bruce . If anyone feels otherwise, go listen to Flame of the West from the other Dortmund show ( it's on KZbin?
