Nice one, glad you cooked the mushrooms first. If you put them in a dry pan first that helps with the excess liquid to dry out then put your oil in. I keep bidding on eBay for one, so hopefully I will be trying one out soon. Your omelet looked yummy by the way 😊

Thanks very much. That's the most accurate way to check. I see a lot of videos using the calculation method, and using the pump pulse frequency and volume, but that's assuming the pump volume delivery and frequency are exact. Nothing beats a fixed volume of fuel and seeing how long it lasts, for accuracy.

Hi How is it to ride unassisted. I mainly want a bike like this to help with hills on long rides. So i mainly ride unassisted. I wonder with the weight and tyre size whether it would be very difficult to pedal under your own steam?

I have this Gen2 bike and driven ~235km by now. 2 major flaws with this bike. No.1 is that the breaks are super bad, like literally rubbish. Changed the break pads for a better one but still quite bad. I think that im gonna replace the whole breaking system including the disk breaks. No.2 is that the left crank arm is loose. Every time I go for a ride the left crank arm gets loose. I tighten it with my 8mm hex wrench and it stays for a little time and then it gets loose again. I think that I need to replace the crank arm or the whole bottom bracket assembly.
@VANFLIPPINGTASTIC
@VANFLIPPINGTASTIC Ай бұрын
The breaks aren't the best .the rear break is ok but I,m changing the front for a hydraulic break. Have you tried a bit of lock tight on the crank when you tighten it..
@Peiperkatt
@Peiperkatt Ай бұрын
@@VANFLIPPINGTASTIC The rear is little bit better then the front but yeah needs a better one for sure. I have tried multiple times to add lock tight, it doesn't make any difference. It's still gets loose after few minutes of riding. I believe the problem is that the crank arm square taper is made of soft aluminium and when it gets loose from pedaling. It will round out it and while pedaling the square is getting more and more rounder.

Great review BTW! One question that I got for you, is it true that even when you slightly pedal, motor gives you full power? I've heard that issue with this bike from many people but because this is the revamped version I have to see if this is still an ongoing issue. There are a few people who said that they cannot operate it while being in heavy crowded places because of this max power output even on lvl 1 assist.
@VANFLIPPINGTASTIC
@VANFLIPPINGTASTIC Ай бұрын
It seem to be very powerfull on lvl one .it seem to use a lot of power and gets straight to 13 mph. It's better to use the throttle when in busy areas..
@panoskasionis541
@panoskasionis541 Ай бұрын
Thank you for your answer!! So it does give the max power and it recognise as limit, the max kilometers per assist level. Is it possible to negate the pedal assist (working as a normal mechanical bike) and only use it with the throttle?

On the pump is written the dose most are 0.020ml per click. On the display is the frequency of the pump on the setting you are using. Eg 3hz x 0.02ml = 0.06ml/sec x 60 = 3.6ml/min x 60 = 216ml/hr. It's simple maths and the most accurate.

You don't need to turn it on and off at the end. Once you click "i" to lock it in, you just hold down the "i" and it will reset and save your changes. That way u don't have to re-enter your pass code which is located on P08. I always disarm the throttle when I lock up my bike. I also drop from max top.speed to.minimum on P03 as an additional measure. That way I have a pass code and a thief can't make it work, even if they bring their own battery. If they somehow manage to get past your passcod3, the throttle won't work and the max speed it will trave is 1 kmh/mph. That's all in addition to the locks I use.

My diesel heater looks exactly like yours. But on my manual it tells u to only put it on Alpine mode in high altitudes so i was scared to put in on that one all the time. But even on lowest settings in my van i have to keep turning it off as even though i have set at 15. It just keeps rising then gets stuffy. So just put it on Alpine mode like u said, and its much better. So couldn't under stand why manual said use alpine mode spareingly. I just didn't want to damage it.
@VANFLIPPINGTASTIC
@VANFLIPPINGTASTIC 2 ай бұрын
Yes it's ment for higher altitudes, I think is put in more or less air into the chamber, I'm not sure .. I've done it for years with no problems...I just blast it on high when I first start mine for a few minutes to burn any excess soot from the previous day.. If mine broke down tomorrow I've had a good run , but still going strong..I can't see what can go wrong it's only a furnace chamber, and it's not as hot on Alpine mode ..
@kathlancaster
@kathlancaster 2 ай бұрын
Thanks for your reply. Every time i switch mine on it goes full blast for around 3 mins. Then it goes down to the lowest settings that i have left it on. So thats a good thing as it must be automatically programed to burn of sut. But like i said even on lowest settings its still to hot in our van. So hopefully if could use Alpine mode it would keep it at a moderate heat for longer. Otherwise i am tuning on and of all the time.

thanks for the info. I want to do a permanent mains powered setup with enogh battery for 24 hours in case of power cut. The power drop should set off the automatic shutdown sequence of the heater in case the power runs out completely. I want minimal effort, but I will make a nice neat setup. Can you recommend a suitable battery and charger combination? Or maybe an off the shelf UPS unit? I live in New Zealand.

i only use a 95 amp hour 12v battery and a mains powered trickle charger , seems to work fine ,i have the trickle charger on all the time .if i lose power the battery will last quite a while before going flat. the battery seems to stay 100 % or near to 100 % all the time. i think my charger is only a small 2 amp output as well

As a disabled older person still recovering from an accident this bike is my favourite of the 3 e-bikes I have, it is allowing me to progressively get my lower limbs “working” again, it’s early days yet but I notice small improvements let alone what it’s doing for my mental health 😀 after my accident years ago and 3 years not able to walk at all my last few years of ebiking have been been life changing and this bike especially I consider to be my therapy bike (health improvement with a dose of fun) unfortunately there is a lot of bad press and lack of understanding for these types of ebike for the cough cough larger older and disabled rider, I’m no invincible younger person riding around like an idiot scaring and or injuring people this is a means to an end to reverse damage done by an inconsiderate car driver and have a better quality of life again.
