My sons 1st car. I helped him get it approx 2 yrs ago. 285k on the org engine and he's still driving it. I did have to do brakes, struts ( Replaced with adjustable coil overs), engine mounts, Belt tensioner, tires, sunroof, but the body was great! Had thebtrd exhaust and leather seats too. It is leaking some oil now. Seals I'm sure. I do.need to check the VVT filter too. I tell him constantly to baby it. He most likely will never see own another. I've only seen two other GTS locally. I sure hope he listens. I would live to put that motor in my MR2 Spyder. Mine is turboed so I'm happy enough. But what a beast it would be. Keep um clean guys and stay safe. Beautiful car!

2006 Lotus exige owner. The other issue you should mention is the weak factory valves. If you plan on spending time above 8k rpm’s you have upgrade to super tech or if racing ferrea valves and springs. I run 3 different 2zzge set ups the most powerful is twin charged with boes 400 roots blower and garret turbo . Puts down 642 hp . Monkey wrench racing is a good company to tell people about for any 1z or 2z build .

It's a good idea to keep the battery unplugged while removing sensor. It could cause an engine light code due to the change of air flow. It needs to reset.

Comes from GReddy! Based on a MP62, really good for the space available in the Celica!
