Madness when you consider a fully built stroker 2zz with forged internals and camshaft from mwr plus the supercharger kit costs the same as a built k20 but the 2zz’s I’ve seen in some lotus exiges are making 500bhp haven’t seen of any k20s making that much and they cost more 🤷🏻♂️

Love your videos! Im planning on going nitrous on my gts as well, what level nitrous shot are u running? What do you think the maximum shot i can do is (stock internals vs upgraded internals) ?
@ConnorNation3 жыл бұрын
A stock internal 2zz can handle a 50 shot fairly easy. There are guys doing 75 shots but I would remain conservative, personally. Nitrois should be ran at wide open throttle if stock. If built, you can tune for it. There are guys in PR running 100 shots.

Eventually I will. I have some terrible tires on this car. I am focusing on my GTR now, but plan to turn this into a track only car :) I want Euro LSD and Poly mounts, and nicer tires.
@alistairmacgregor14563 жыл бұрын
@@ConnorNation Quaife LSD is the way, I used to have one im in the UK ours is a bit differnt to the American one ours standard is 192 hp and revs to 8500, some of them only rev to 7800, and are 180hp you can map it to 10,000rpm if you get the TRD dials, uprated springs and retainers on the cams, cheap upgrade maximum results, cheap if you have an aftermarket ecu and you have so its cheap for a lot more, springs and retainers and speed clock dials, make huge difference the TRD dials are sick they have 180mph on the clock and 10,000rpm and they light up blue and change colour when you hit lift, its sick, I think the apexi fc will do that I know the EMS4 ecu does, to be honest I thought the Apexi FC was a plug in to the diagnostic inside the car, maybe its different stuff in america

@ConnorNation4 жыл бұрын
I appreciate it! Right now, it has some semi slick nankangs, on it, performance summer, I think the wet/cold roads allow for 0 grip. It would be nice to get some SuperSports or something, that can handle a little moisture and still be sticky. I have them ready for my GTR, so I plan to test them there first and if they're good, put them here too.

There are really no definitive stages for Celicas, since no company builds packages to do mods and base map tunes. Its mainly a one off type modding. This Celica does not have any work to the internals of the motor though! Technically all "bolt on" since supercharger is just a few bolts.

out of curves its a dream, off the line its first gear thats the problem, you need to double clutch to stay in lift on all gear changes, the issue is it doesnt have a slip differential, so you get peg leg and wheel spin you want a qualife simited slip differential it makes all the difference, goodyear eagle f1 asymetrical tyres or toyo r888's

You need a driver mod… you’re launching on wet roads for one, I bet you’re on all season tires, I just wish I could drive for you on a dry road. “I don’t have anything to warm the nitrous but it should be okay” please stop modifying cars if you don’t know what you’re doing.
@ConnorNation2 жыл бұрын
Eh, for the most part sure. My tuner said I should build pressure on Nitrous before utilizing it. In the times I've sprayed before, I never used a bottle warmer and left pressure at standard. I never had an issue with it before. The tires are summer performance tires, but cheap ones. When I built this car, I didn't care for spending a lot because I knew I was aiming to buy a GTR. If you notice, I haven't even driven this Celica much because I jumped into a whole new world of performance. The Celica now is waiting to get modded for autox. I was always a better driver for AutoX than straight line shifting and launching. I'd rather let a DCT do the work for me in a line! I may make more videos on it now, but I think overall I maybe have like... 50 hours behind the wheel since this was completed? Lol. It's been in storage since.
