You play as writer Adrienne Delaney, who has just moved into an old mansion with her husband. Shortly after arriving, you begin to experience horrific nightmares and visions, and must investigate their source of evil.

Roberta Williams is the queen of click&point adventure games. She started with Mystery House and the game evolved into this masterpiece. This game has a lot of "Shining" inspiration.

I have watched the five so far uploaded episodes and this game doesn't seem half bad, at least when watching it and progressing straight forward. The sequel is awful imo, even if the horror in it has a promising idea behind it. It's just the game design and plot, both including non-amusing elements. The acted clips are slow in this first game, so I imagine the hint system is very welcome to keep the progress going. I would hate to get stuck in a game like this due to the slow exploration. The atmosphere is built nicely even if the music is simple. Acting is satisfactory too. I'm wishing to see the rest!

This runs well on both DOSBox 0.74-3 (which im currently playing) and ScummVM (Gog version uses this default)
