Do enough practicing and you'll learn to kick your guitar 60 yd. Ain't that the truth? Tried that once with a snare drum. After that I decided to use sticks instead.

Oh my. Made my day watching you two do this song. Classic Prine and a 10 out of 10 on performance. Keep doing what your doing and enjoy playing, singing, and enjoying life together. A time worthy video to watch.

In 1980, my girlfriend and I got cheated out of the chance to see him perform at a small venue in Pasco County, Florida of all places. Place was sold out and understandably so. There was a little blurb in the local newspaper about him and how he was married to Jeannie C. Riley for a short time and he said "now I know why Billie Joe McAlister jumped off the Tallahatchie Bridge." It brought a big laugh from me.

I'll never forget watching your show on TV, the skit was doing a cowboy saloon, you and three other cowpokes were sitting at a poker table playing Poker, you bet all you had if I remember correctly, turned your cards over and said "I got 4 aces"! your opponent showed his hand and said"Ha ha! I got 5 aces"! you turned to look at the camera with a puzzled look on your face and said "I thought he was Bluffin!" The audience exploded! I did too, that was so funny, after all these years, I still remember that, lol. I wish you could air some re-runs on youtube, I'd buy a season or two, heck, I'd buy 'em all! lol. Thanks Jim, for sharing all these memories, I'm going to subscribe, leave a thumbs up, and a tap on the bell. I'll be watching for more of your videos. Thanks for sharing.

This video doesn’t have Classical Gas on it. Just Jim Stafford messing around & playing something else completely.

He may be a comedian, but he is absolutely no guitarist of any significance. I didn't even recognise the song. Listen to the same song by Tommy Emmanuel, a real guitarist
@justdoingitjim7095Ай бұрын
He played about 5 seconds of recognizable classical gas!

We got to see Jim Stafford at his theater once in Branson, Missouri. He was excellent. He doesn't like cats, but he doesn't like chihuahuas either!! Sad that he is no longer there, and his theater is no longer there either. Excellent musician, entertainer, and showman.

Great guitar playing. You don't see many like this anymore. I will say I only recognized Classical Gas toward the end, but whatever he was playing which sounded Spanish, I can tell it took serious talent to play.

When we went to his show in Branson, he was no longer doing this song live. I thought it was kind of a shame as it helped make him a star.

I watched Jim Stafford play two songs simultaneously on the guitar a hell of alot of years ago. He just smiled and waved sittin there on that sack of seeds.
