Not sure what you might be doing differently. Make sure you are choosing Face>Extrude along Normals rather than the regular Extrude option.

Nice model but you go way too fast to learn anything. I have watched this video a number of times and still have no clue what you're doing most of the time. You need to explain each step a little bit better. But this may just be me.

Great video! I love the looking glass portrait! In the addon settings, I highly recommend turning ‘single-camera’ mode to ‘multi-camera’ mode or what ever its name is in there. I found it speeds up render times drastically, and saves an insane amount of time on animation renders too.

Pretty incredible man, I'm working on some little keshi sculpts in nomad and am about to tackle the body and arms, and there's SO much to take away from this. Can't wait to watch part two later today!

These videos are fantastic! I will for sure check out your nomad/blender in depth tutorials. Has your process changed much since the hairless cat sculpt you made a few years ago? Also, is nomad a viable sculpting program for animation? I assume retopology would be a big additional step, but curious what your experience has been.

@bugemenot I've had no issues on both desktop/laptop. Both are PCs with pretty powerful nVidia cards 4090(desktop) and 4070(laptop).

@bugemenot Yeah- over the years I've used Blender on less powerful hardware and haven't had much issues to be honest, but my experience is certainly limited when it comes to hardware variety.

Hello Eric, amazing work as always, I hope you see this question, whats the Ipad you are using to make this projects?, im a 3D artist aswell but ive never use an ipad before, i wanted to buy the ipad pro m2, 11 inches, but I wanted to hear your feedback about this topic
@eric3dee
@eric3dee 9 ай бұрын
I've got a 12.9 inch iPad Pro from 2020 I think. It still runs everything really well. No doubt the m2 pro version would be just fine.

@@eric3dee thank you so much for your answer, I think I heard what I wanted to hear also, that I could buy a cheaper one like a 2021 version or 2020 version and it will still work fine ✨

Better than procreate? Procreate seems following the topology of the model. So if the model on lowpoly the lines will also jagged

Cool man! This seems a lot easier than blender to grease pencil.
@eric3dee
@eric3dee 11 ай бұрын
haha yes and no. There are definitely some aspects that are easier, but some things like performance (having to decimate the model) and only being able to view the model in wireframe among other quirks leave more to be desired, but hopefully those things will improve with future releases

Can you take it into blender after the line work? I personally prefer the traditional 2D characters in 3D space that looks "painterly" so Im looking at this from that angle. Much like Tarzan. How do you think this workflow would handle backgrounds?@@eric3dee
