Love your style bro. You can really see the difference between people who can actually draw to people who who skipped the fundamentals and went straight to 3d

You are able to get a lot of high quality designs/modeling out of an Ipad with Nomad. Sick haha. Are you never wondering to just stay in Nomad? I'd be to bored to crawl back behind a stationary desk after a while
@eric3dee
@eric3dee Жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yeah I try to stick w/Nomad and Procreate as much as possible, but inevitably I like to finish/polish on a computer with Blender. That said, an iPad/laptop combo definitely helps keep me away from a desk!

Hi 👋 im 3d modelling beginner. Your work is really impressive and inspires me to learn more about 3d design. Just wanna ask you a question, have you ever experienced the program, Nomad suddenly crashing or shutting down while saving or remeshing your work?. I’m creating just a simple character, not many elements, using Nomad 1.65 with iPad Pro 12.9 inches. It often crashed.
@eric3dee
@eric3dee 2 жыл бұрын
Hmm. Very interesting - I honestly haven't had any frequent crashing that im aware of. It could be very specific to the task you are doing. Make sure you have the latest update available too!

HI BRO I LOVE YOUR WORK...HOW DID U MAKE THE STICHES ?
@eric3dee
@eric3dee 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much! Simple really. I create a seam with my custom Sharp Brush (just a brush with a sharp falloff-see my YT vid about it for more detail). Then I use the clay brush with the material painting turned on (the shader icon in the left menu) set to white and fully rough. Then I just go around and add them stitch by stitch.

Oh so the final render of the ig is actually from Blender! How much you decimated it?
@eric3dee
@eric3dee 2 жыл бұрын
It is. I typically decimate each part as low as I can go without losing visual fidelity (taking into consideration of the final render).

Any tips for topology with faces i always end up with having bugged out meshes and always way too much topology at the start but cant seem to get any detail in without it
@eric3dee
@eric3dee 2 жыл бұрын
I typically shy away from heavy meshes. I use voxel remesh on the lowest level of detail necessary for the detail needed. If I'm adding more texture or micro detail, occasionally I will subdivide the mesh once. I did that for a few of the meshes in this. Always be aware of getting too thin of a mesh and use the clay or inflate brushes to thicken things (make sure front facing vertex only is turned on), and use the trim tool to clean up messy edges or geo if necessary. I do all those things in this sculpt.
