How are they holding up? I just ordered a pair, will be my first barefoot shoe. I used to wear plimsolls for working out and playing badminton because i liked the thin flat sole but since giving up that life i have been wearing trainers with arch support because i have high arches and was told i needed the support, but thinking about it i have had more back pains and twisted ancles etc since changing. I now want to go back to minimalist shoes, but wow the prices are ridiculous for what is essentially a sock with a sole lol .

7 is neutral it’s kinda where you start, if you go lower like 6/5/4/3/2/1 it’s becoming more acidic and if you go higher like 8/9 it’s becoming more alkaline.

All of it looks fine to me. Fermented garlic blueing is normal, the kombucha looks like kombucha, and the pickles look like pickles and also seem properly acidic.

Mackerel is pretty tasty IMHO, I wouldn't use it as a stand in for bacon though. And if I was vegan I'd be rather miffed if my plant based bacon was actually mackerel or tasted like it.
