I feel Clemens being a doctor was too crucial to his role in the movie to change, but the idea that his name would've made it so far without him having any work seemed a little confusing. It would've made more sense if a professor or other official (who had faith in him) recommended him for the position or if he performed some special procedure during his training to explain how people so far away knew his name. The Anna changes don't seem necessary, her face is shown above the soil and there are cracks in her box for her to breathe through. I agree about the kid. Dracula and his minion hunting the little guy was by far the scariest moment in the movie, it wasn't necessary to see him set on fire too. Also agree about the teaser ending, 100% unnecessary, plus it leads to a bunch of questions about how Clemens would've fit into the London narrative when he didn't appear in the novel. The holy items not working on Dracula also annoyed me- while there are vampire stories where holy items don't work- Dracula is rather famously NOT one of those stories.

This series wasn't a documentary. It's a fanciful riff on the fact that Big U made an English language and a Spanish language Dracula at the same time. It's kind of like retellings of King Arthur--no book or movie realistically portrays Malory's Le Morte d'Arthur and Le Morte d'Arthur is nothing like Geoffrey of Monmouth's History. Having to start filming later and release earlier, they were probably more concerned with getting the film in the can than with anything else. But if you're trying to do a miniseries, you just have to make up stuff, which is what they did. Except for the romance of Paul Kohner and Lupita Tovar. Remember what Roger Corman did with a few pages of poetry by Edgar Allan Poe...

I have the opposite opinion of the 2010 Wolfman- I thought Benicio Del Toro was the only truly good performance and that Anthony Hopkins acted like he was about to fall asleep at any moment lol.

Points off for saying it's disappointing for the lead character to be killed by a dog. Bad Moon (based off the novel Thor) is about a dog who saves the family from a werewolf, and the dog hero is both believable and a total badass. You put a German Shepherd protecting it's family against anyone or anything, and I'm putting y money on the German Shepherd!

Carpenter is one of my favorite directors of all time The thing, they live, big trouble in little China From what I’m hearing it probably could have been one of the best movies he made It’s sad that every single one of his movies were failures in theaters.

Not all movies have to become grand franchises, but if you do not have that in mind when creating a movie, you might not be able to fit things together later on. In my opinion, you should have a good understanding of the surrounding world, and what to expect from it, before starting filming, but you are certainly right when stating that not all movies then have to be expanded in to yet another cinematic universe.

It only won all those awards because of the Academy's lethal levels of Trump Derangement Syndrome. I rember reverse actually mentioning that it should win just to stick it to Trump, which made ZERO sense to me.

Creature Walks Among Us is a great movie, it is better than the Revenge of the Creature which was a King Kong knock off. CWAU is a sad movie especially when he looks out to the water, the mask is amazing and how it was framed for the murder was tragic. This movie is now recognized as progressive and thought provoking.

Hans chasing after Elsa and saving her makes sense if he was after the throne but then he locks her up in an attempt to dethrone her and then tries to kill her sister. I think the writers just wanted to have a dramatic plot twist, but didn’t understand how monarchies worked because Han wouldn’t have been in line for the throne even if he had managed to marry Anna.

The video I watched really inspired me to give the movie a chance. I'm disappointed that this great film didn't do well at the box office and that some people think it's just a rip-off of Star Wars. It's actually very well done and offers a great adventure. The special effects have aged well and you can see the original inspiration behind it. I think this movie is underrated and deserves more appreciation.

The one scene that always sticks out to me is the prologue when the camera cuts to the sky and shows Dracula and the Brides flying through it. To me that's gothic personified.

Yea getting a cold from dry is is the lest dangerous thing that. Could happen from dry ice even though Scream 2 is not a Universal monster movie. There was a more serious problem that happened with dry ice. In the scene where Sydney is rehearsing the play fat smoke was made by dry ice. Coming from the Orchestra pit area there was someone down there keeping new dry ice going. The problem is that when dry ice melts making the fog it also removes the oxygen from the air. So he had a oxygen mask on but it fell off and since it was. Foggy down there he could not find it any passed out. But someone noticed that something was wrong an they jumped in to the Orchestra pit without any oxygen mask. So that person almost passed out but they found and got the people out. The original guy well let's just say they got to him intime. Because he almost died do to lack of oxygen an the other person almost past out do to lack of oxygen. But after that they switched to a smoke machine instead of dry ice.

One of the shortest films, renewing old sets, editing other films, cutting pieces from other various films inserting them in House of Dracula to save a buck. The ending comes and goes too fast as if some producer is whispering to the director "Just end it " Yes, some of the ideas r interesting. The contamination of Dracula's blood upon the good Doctor. Talbot's temporary cure. But it's the weakest film in the Frankenstein series. It all seems rushed, cheap, a shame especially with the good cast trying so hard.😢
