I’m not sure if it just keeps repeating bc of a glitch or bc that’s how it is written - either way certainly not going to bother to continue listening

The main characters in all of your stories have a weight of responsibility but don't act. They wait for things to get worse. Then they make dumb decisions. Can you please write a story with main characters with common sense.

Hampton Roads, Virginia. Might make a great location for an ambush. Characters could be trapped on the peninsula forced to escape through the Bridge-Tunnels with the risk of them flooding or take their chances with the James River draw bridge.

Good story. The idea is good, but at the very beginning there are lots of plot holes. First, how where the "towering walls" built, in the middle of a zombie apocalypse?,. We know that Alara designed them, but how was such a monumental building project done in the middle of a world wide disaster? Then, who is the leader here? Nobody, or any group, seems to be in charge. In five years, there would have been a leadership, a military, farmers, etc. Then the determination to go to the equipment depot before anyone actually checked to see what the problem with the water supply was-----shouldn't they have checked out the filtration system first, to see what was wrong, and what parts needed to be fixed? Then, I somehow doubt that a very dangerous supply run would be undertaken by the most valuable people in the community. Alara is a builder and a good fixer, she would be far to valuable to risk. And the nurse, as the only medical person they have, would never be allowed to leave the safety of the community. While it makes a good story, other people would be selected to go on the foray, not the most valuable people in the community.

Are we missing chapters? Feel like there's huge gaps in the story
@storystream10009Күн бұрын
This story is meant to be a 20 chapter story, I broke it down to an hour, kind of testing it to see if i should invest the time to complete the full book.
@jamesgilliard7745Күн бұрын
@storystream10009 I'm sure everyone listening would be down for a full book. Maybe upload a couple of chapters at a time? Keep us all invested.

Not bad and nicely narrated but the story seems like it might have been AI generated or partially AI generated. I say that because one minute this small group of survivors joins with one other group and then another group but then those groups are gone with no mention of what became of them. It's not like chapters are missing but it's like they were never written in the first place. Still I liked it because there weren't zombies, and let's face it zombies and the zombie genre are as dead as Disco. Literally. What kept me listening was that it was just a small group of survivors at the end, rather than the story of the whole world collapsing at the beginning and having so many characters and every day to day life chapters when that's not what apocalypse books are about. Authors please just get us to the end of the Apocalypse, we don't need the backstory and seven chapters at the beginning of every post-apocalyptic book on how we got to the end of the world. Just start it at the end of the world because that's what a post-apocalypse fiction is about anyway. I suggest everyone gives us a listen and decide for yourself.

I try to stick with main characters, they might meet up with people or groups, and those groups may relay information, then they vanish, they were only there for the vessel to deliver the information. Thank you fro your feedback and listening, I appreciate it.

@storystream10009 Oh, in that case I sincerely apologize for suggesting it might be somewhat AI generated. It's way way better than any story I could ever write, it just seemed like a few sentences were missing here and there but maybe you're right and they just weren't needed once you got the information across.. And this story definitely did keep me fully interested to the very end. I liked many aspects of this story so I thank you for writing it and posting it for all of us to enjoy..
