You could add cushions to your couch with armor stands, not even with the fancy mod, just using a sheep head or something facing backwards and you can use a piston to move the armor stand around within a block

You're limited to white outer couch cushions with this approach, but I like mixing snow layers and slabs for my couches to give the middle cushion a bit of sag to it. Might need armor stand magic for those throw pillows. I like the coffee table/ottoman design! The fact that it doubles as storage is a happy little accident.

Couch dilemma, put slabs in front of the couch with stairs as back. Makes it deeper for lazy lounging but would make the depth feel better than with just stairs.
