If anyone is wondering why impaling doesn't work on drowned it is because they are undead mobs not aquatic mobs and impaling does extra damage to aquatic

Bedrock edition Impaling works on anything in water. Yes, that includes rain. Players are affected as well. GODS I wish this was the way it worked in Java
@saffral5 ай бұрын
I love that quiz. Cub has such random knowledge. Impaling is so unintuitive on Java where it affects all water mobs except for drowned because drowned are technically undead, so they're affected by Smite instead. On Bedrock it affects all mobs currently touching water (including in the rain), so it's much more useful on that version. Which means that Impaling is exclusively useful against guardians, turtles, axolotls, and dolphins (other fish can be killed with a decent sword in one hit) and it feels wrong somehow. But if you ever need to clear out dolphins the trident is the best weapon to use... you monster.
@thomasfplm5 ай бұрын
In my opinion, drowned should be affected by both, smite and impaling.
@saffral5 ай бұрын
@@thomasfplm Agreed, maybe one day Minecraft Java will remove the limitation of each mob having only a single type of damage. (Though it's probably low priority if there's only a single hybrid mob out there. Waiting for an undead spider.)

@thomasfplm5 ай бұрын
I think that if you place a bed exactly in the same location before dieing, you go back there. There was a life series that had something like that. If I'm not mistaken it was in Double Life at Pearl's tower that someone used her bed, it was stolen, Pearl replaced it and the person came back there. I think that when you click the bed, it saves the coordinates and when you die it checks if there is a bed or respawn anchor there, but I'm not sure about the mechanics and I might be misremembering.
@TheRealWormbo5 ай бұрын
@@thomasfplm Correct, your respawn location is indeed stored as location and when it's needed the game looks if it can find an unobstructed bed or respawn anchor (whichever the player is allowed to use in their respawn dimension) there. If it can, the spawn location is picked around that block.

If the goal of the maze is within its perimeter rather than on the perimeter, it can be located on an 'island' that doesn't connect to the perimeter at all. This causes the left-/right-hand rule to fail. Multiple 'islands,' either nested or separate, make it even harder.
