If you have a bunch of armour stands and need to select a particular one, you can use the little icon in the top-left corner of the GUI, which will bring up a list of all the ones nearby.

You might wanna ask Scar for help with the ray(or look at his Deathscar), he's amazing with those. Maybe him doing a baseline and you(or Cleo) adding more zap to it with armor stands could work out great! Also I really love when people like you and Cleo interact, because it's rare for us to see, but everytime you just feel the experience you guys have with each others, long years of friendship shown in small little parts. They're gonna be really proud of what you made though, because those armor stands look amazing!

Add a tiny bit of tilt to Keralis's head helps to dispel the sense of stiffness. Right now, the pose is a preset pose. Also move one arm up a wee bit with the opposing leg flailing down a scoche to give the sense of panic :)

Cleo's teaching approach to armor stands this season keeps making me sweat, because you can really tell she's been a teacher. Like, every time this season someone's asked for armor stands help, there's always the line "well you need to get over the first hurdle, which is actually doing things" and I can't help but be reminded of high school cs class. Keralis getting lasered turned out great! I really like the solution to the spindly arms. Also, oh boy, big salmon's coming onto your turf. Better be careful about that XD

For the lasers frying Keralis, maybe use glass? Both Scar and Cub have done something similar. Using temporary blocks and getting whatever blocks placed will likely be time consuming, but very cool effect in the end. Great job! Love seeing your creativity.

Hey XB, Cleo has this great tip for making armor stands look alive! Tilt Keralis’s head just a tiny bit to the side and make the limb placement asymmetrical!

This is great, watching you figure out how to do what you want with the armor stands. I'm so glad you chose to have the hat flying off! 😂 And I do not mind that you've chosen to cut all the behind-the-scenes fiddly bits, even though I think it would be cool to see some of your process as you decide what effects and positionings work best for your ideas. For the laser beams, my first thought was that thing Cub did back in S7. It's a pity the immortal end crystals only point to 0,0 though. I love the bone blocks and terracotta for hands ❤, almost everyone else leaves them showing the ugly armor stand arms. Just wish the center pose is not so symmetrical, if you could rotate the hands and legs to add some natural randomisation. IDEA: you could do glass blocks or end rods on armour stands for sideways Lazer beams

14:21 it went higher because you made the whole armor stand bigger and I'm pretty sure they grow from the base. So if the whole thing is bigger, their head is higher. They don't grow the center of the visible thing. If they grow from their center, it doesn't change anything, it just means the head will only go up half as fast as when they grow from the base.

I agree with @jamesjuld Scar did angled glass lasers; he might provide good insight. My suggestion would be to move the campfires in Keralis' head lower, more into his shoulders if you can. I think it would make it look more like smoke coming out of his ears. Assuming you can hide the campfires properly, it would sell the idea better. Fantastic job!

Armour stands and glass or end rods , a lot of work to do but would be awesome! The armour stands allow you to slowly adjust the height downward of each piece. Lots of time and energy to do it. Love the whole concept!

I love how the armor stands are looking! Great and creative. I think if some of their heads are tilted on one side, it would give a bit more life (?) to the poses because our heads aren't always balanced while we're on the move. I'm not sure how to explain it. Anyway, it's been a week since this posted, probably you've done more adjustments and I'll see them in the next few vids. :D I am loving how your base is turning out. I love the colour, I love the theme. Can't wait to see Keralis get zapped by lasers!

14:25 "Making it bigger made it go higher" XB - you don't make hat bigger. You make whole armorstand bigger. If you suddenly grew 20%, your hat would also be 20% higher than it is now since your head would be higher ;) it's invisible but still there.

I think for the tractor beams, you have 2 good options: Build them by hand with glass blocks of different colors. Or Have a long chain of armor stands (like you did with the arms) and have each of them holding a glass pane, rotating 90 degrees for each pane (the glass pane item is just a square, so the would look like a criss-cross beam)

The nostalgia all of the work that this fortress of nostalgiatude has been about is immediately evident to the viewer after a chill afternoon with some armour stands. Cleo hasn't stopped raving for years about armour stand posings, because of the dramatic difference they make to many aspects of building. Here is a clear example of visual storytelling improved.

Giant papa k looks amazing you did fantastic with it! Also idk if you remember but cub knows how to move the regen beams from the dragon area in the end. Not sure if they could be angled the way you need them but if possible could look really cool as the pew pews

I saw Cleo do this thing one time where she placed an armor stand and from there it seemed like she went into that menu (the one y'all use to alter them) to find an invisible one in the vicinity. Idk what she did, I'm just reasonably certain you can use one armor stand to find others. If such a thing exists, make sure she teaches you how to do it. I imagine you'll have this issue again in the future

With the "stiffness" of poses I think adding a little asymmetry would go a long way. A couple of degrees of head tilt, arms and legs being slightly off perfect etc. If you want the squid to have eyeballs you could try clipping some skulk shriekers into the head. They're animated and have the right colour palette, it could look really cool!

U could use a piston to push blocks from the outside into the statue. I dont know if u can push camp fires the same way. But remember if u put a hay bale under a camp fire it will make the smoke rise higher.

Scar, Grian, Iskall and I forget who else got in a build height battle in Season Six after the update. one of them made a really good laser (probably Scar since he is really good with glass panes for that kind of thing). You may try asking him for advice on a laser beam... Also I love what you;ve done with the armor stands. It looks amazing!

The closest shape to the Guardian rays to me would be spider web. The guardian ray changes colour when it attacks. Maybe use some combination of spider web and colored glass blocks (or mini-blocks if available) that go from purplish, orange, yellow etc. Spiderweb with a double helix of glass mini-blocks? Can spiderweb be put inside of a coloured glass blocks? It might just be easier to lift 'Keralis' so the rays come out level.

Hey xB, I just tested it, and you *can* use the Armor Poser UI in Freecam. Just line up your player so you're facing the stand, enter freecam, get your cam in position, then hit the "control player" keybind and shift-right click.

The armour stands look great XB, however I feel they need weapons, obviously tridents. The lazers can be made from iron bars and glass panes of grey, light grey, white and Maybe experiment with a chain of armour stands holding the materials in each outstretched hand and wearing them on their heads. Line a few up to accentuate the placed blocks. The arms can be angled to suit, I dare you to use trigonometry to calculate the angle 😂 Keep up the great content ❤️

Re: Keralis looking a bit static: He is too symmetrical. If you want him to look more dynamic, arrange the legs and arms noticeably but not significantly different from their counterpart. Also don't be afraid of rotating them very slightly. Also slightly tilt his head. If you do this subtly enough it won't affect the pose but will look more lively, on this case, dynamically unalivedlyed

Could you use glass rods that have been scaled up to form your beam? Similar to what you’ve done for the arms on the other statues where you’ve aligned them along the same axis. Thinking the statues could also have weapons in their hands? The elder guardian strikes me as needing a trident. Axolotl, maybe a bow. Glow squid with a sword.

Need to add one of Keralis’s Pinacolato drinks, flying out of one of his hands. Also in season 7 shopping district, Cub's Quartz shop, had ender crystals putting out beams, maybe this could be used to make it look like you are zapping Karalis. 😉 He started it in episode 6. Does not look easy. Also not sure if you could get the right angles.
