Fantastic Alma, I love this one. Thanks for posting. I've taken the liberty and shared the link to Fartown School Memories, a group I run on Facebook. I'm sure many of the members who left Huddersfield and moved away, some to other parts of the country and world will love this.

I need a machine to produce rice paper. I mean Vietnamese rice pape. I want to produce rice paper that becomes soft and transparent after being placed in a bowl of water. does your factory make this device? Is it possible to link me to a company that has a rice paper production machine? Can I order this device for manufacturing?

Buna Alma, imi place foarte mult cum explicati aveti o voce foarte calma 😊 As avea o intrebare, daca cineva din Romania aplica pentru viza de student in UK(de exemplu 2026), a terminat studiile, poate a inceput sa lucreze si are deja cei 5 ani in 2031 poate sa aplice pentru resedinta? si/ sau cetatenie? Multumesc mult de raspuns ❤❤❤ Have a lovely day

It didn’t snow too bad in Halifax as I managed to go to Pollino Italian restaurant in King Cross with my mum on Monday Evening and I went to see the new Willy Wonka film with my uncle and auntie. I will stay in Halifax, tomorrow because of the snow. Anyhow, My friend called Mohammed Ateeq Anwar went to that former school on the left from 00:33-00:37. Incidentally, can you remember what that former lamp shop on the left at 02:45 was as there was one as I think it’s now B&M Bargains near where Kwik Fit and Furniture City are in Halifax? Suzanne who used to look after me on,y for 2023 on a Monday, alternative Saturday and Friday has stopped being with because she is far too poorly as her replacements are Claire on a Monday and Friday and Bev on A Alternative Saturday which they are both reliable as 2024 will be a more busy and better year for me than 2023 as it was a miserable year for me as Suzanne seriously kept taking days off being ill. When it gets to Spring, I will go swimming at the leisure centre in Huddersfield that you went past. Keep warm.

I love the stretch along Bradford Road past what used to be Hillhouse Post office (now Ali's barbers) and Wallace the grocers next door which is now a launderette. A few yards further along, also on the left used to be the Thornhill Arms pub, now a small supermarket. Further along on the right you passed the Railway Inn with what used to be The Regent cinema on the other side of Flint Street. The cinema later became a Ballroom, now the Shama Indian Restaurant. Another interesting journey back in time for me Alma. Keep them coming. 🙂

@@almafromengland8697 I used to know the area very well although many parts have changed beyond recognition with beautiful old buildings torn down and replaced with concrete boxes. It's interesting watching your drive through videos, I might recognise the roads and buildings for the first few minutes, then enter into an unrecognisable stretch of wide complicated modern roads and buildings, then back to the old familiar ones. When you post a new video I send the link to an old school friend in Tasmania where he's lived since 1976. He also enjoys watching them.

A very useful video My wife and I shall soon be travelling to Leeds by train and have booked the Whitehall Road Premier Inn. I just wanted to see how to locate the correct exit from the station (Princes Square) which gives us a short, pleasant walk along the river to the hotel. Taking the wrong exit would just make the journey much longer .. especially as I’ll be pulling the suitcase

I hope Michael doesn't hate me for this(so sorry Michael) but I know of another horse mounting block in Huddersfield. It is inside the grounds of Quaker House on Church Street in Paddock opposite the flats. You can see it from the road and can even see it on Google maps. I actually thought the museum had closed down but obviously I was wrong about that. Great video as always.

Thank you so much for this information. Michael told me that this is a very good piece of information. Michael apologises, he was obviously wrong.Michael never went to Church House, but now he wants to know if that one is round or square. We will get thrown out if I try to film it? Is it accessible for anybody? As I said before, your local knowledge is much appreciated. Thank you again for this input in my video. You have opened new chapter in our research of the former Springwood Estate which included Paddock . Do you know where the Sprongwood coal mine was? Up to now Michael hasn't found the site of where it was. Thank you so much for your message. Have a great week.❤❤❤

Another fantastic video. This park has to be Lindleys best kept secret. I think if I had been driving up towards Salendine Nook I would have had to call in around the Merrie England for a beef and onion sandwich. They are not cheap but they are delicious. Michael knows so many wonderful things about Huddersfield.

Thank you so much for your kind words. The Merry England at Selendine Nook was a favourite haunt of Michael's. He also appreciated the quality of the place and it was always handy when coming off the motorway. You are so right when you say that Michael knows a lot about Huddersfield. When I came here 23 years ago, Michael taught me everything about Huddersfield 's history and he guided me in learning about the town's traditions. I also learnt a lot from you passing on your history and knowledge about the district. So, I leant to love Huddersfield, to respect its traditions, to enjoy every story about people, historic buildings and forgotten places. Thank you again for watching my video. Have a wonderful weekend. ❤️❤️❤️
