Is it OK to thin the varnish like this at the end? If one doesn't mind a texture, will it still seal it well enough?

Can't wait for the other parts 😁 Can irresistibles matte varnish or Xdous thinning oil be used as a primer as well?
@ebornsreborns
@ebornsreborns Күн бұрын
@SozKurdistani You can iuse xodus thinning oil for areas that need adhesion help, it's very thin so doesn't work well for pinholes, but works very well for shiny areas. Otherwise you can use whichever varnish brand you want, just make sure you thin it well to avoid texture.

No I can only find the spray in that, we have something called Goo Gone but I don't know if it's the same, it says for removing glue, UK is really strict on chemicals so anything we can get will probably be weaker and I really need to strip this kit!

@JacquelineHall-c6e Ugh, yeah the spray doesn't work. That has got to be really difficult for painting! I actually haven't tried goo gone before!

Hi thank you for sharing. I'm new to reweighting babies but I love the process but I have questions if you don't mind answering. Do you know the actual size of the zip ties other than the length? How do you keep the beads from falling through the stockings? Even with knee highs it's falling through. Lastly how do you remove the polyfil from the feet and hands? It's so difficult to remove at times.
@ebornsreborns
@ebornsreborns 8 күн бұрын
@daniellejohnson5198 They are 14" 2.5mm zip ties, these are the ones I get www.ebay.com/itm/143103201921 As far as stockings, you can double or even triple up if needed, sometimes when using the really cheap ones it is necessary. Bountful Baby sells some really thick ones but they are fairly expensive for frequent use. The polyfil is a pain, no way around it. I've used tweezers, forceps, the only way is to pick at it and keep removing it. Forceps is the easiest.

Emily do you think I could use xodus thick and gemini matte varnish to create some texture? I also bough xodus satin so I am wondering if they can be used together? P.S. I got the gemini thinner and xodus thinner they feel and work exaqctly the same at least to me. The xodus oil you get much more oil ( a bigger bottle) with gemini your only get 12 oz. I like the bigger bottle more. How about you? and you are right I do love gemini but I have to bake power level 7 and 12 minutes or I it is still damp and sticky and I actually had to bake twice but the end result is amazing, it feels like silicone :) I am also going to try to use iartmatte with gemini matte, see what happens. I like matte but I do like a tiny bit of sheen. Our skin is not completely matte.

@MothersLovingArmsNursery I haven't tried mixing the xodus and Gemini mediums together yet, if you do let me know how it works! I do agree about the thinner!
