Bloody hell i went to phi phi don in 1996 i was 22 years old. It looked nothing like that.just some basic accomodation. One bar with a singer and guitar player and a couple of little places to eat. It was paradise.Its been ruined or maybe not if your happy with mass tourism.
@journey_boundYT19 күн бұрын
wow that would have been amazing

What a crazy experience. Hope it doesn't deter you from visiting other parts of Europe. My private record is 30% in commission with a dumb ATM of a local German bank which only gave 50 euros per withdrawal. I have not used ATMs since then.
@journey_boundYT23 күн бұрын
yeah wow, what a rip off, it hasn't deterred me from EU, I actually live in Poland, I just stay away from random ATM's , should be illegal for them to charge this crazy rate of interest

Bevco or beverage corporation in kerala is under government license. You get 2 type of counter system.Locals buy through counter system which u used in video also there is premium counter which u can select by hand like super market got collection of liquors indian made or foreign made foreign made is expensive in kerala Due to Tax. Different states have different tax. Beer is cheap.4 litre allowed per person (for locals i think).

Spent time at both islands. Koh Chang for me. Samui is good though it changed between the first time I went and on every other occasion...three times total.

More locals died so it's the other way around. Either way I wouldn't want to ever be in one. It's so sad and tragic that such an event took place but it did. I hope we learned from it, if not I hate it for us....God bless

I love both islands. Great video. Tip: When you’re giving motorbike driving tips, while not necessary, you should mention the horrific casualties associated with tourists on motorbikes- especially when your motorbike videos at 4min + have you consistently driving on the wrong side of the road- in the rain!

Those sleeper buses with no ac are buses from hell. No bathroom in 99% Indian buses. You are better off in a train and don’t buy a general class ticket as the bathrooms can be a nightmare of its own. Keep drinking a couple of coconuts a day. Coconut water has electrolytes which you need your body to replenish in South India especially in the coast as it is hot and very humid and you will sweat your balls losing a lot of electrolytes. Drinking coconut water replenishes them and you feel hydrated without feeling exhausted because of loss of body minerals. As for coconuts, between the green and the yellow ones, always pick the yellow. It’s a bit more expensive but totally worth it as the water is much tastier and more water too. Green ones are average and cheaper. Even the yellow ones cost only $0.50-0.60 tops and totally worth it.

Great for hangovers, coconut.
@Abraracourix27 күн бұрын
@ I guess any kind of liquids is good for a hangover though it’s difficult to look for a coconut seller when you wake up hung over lol Water will work just fine. If you are in the tropics, you sweat a lot and lose electrolytes and feel tired fast. Coconut water has most of the electrolytes except sodium ( it’s light on sodium) so if you add a pinch of salt to the coconut water, you have the perfect natural electrolyte.

Many middle class Indians dont wanna go to Kerala because of high cost and touts. Kerala is communist state where people want only white collar jobs outside the state and these commies are very good in manipulating things.

I found this video to be very helpful. We are long term travellers but don’t choose to ride motorcycles. I think we shall revisit Koh Samui again. It will be pretty unrecognisable since we were there in 1987!😂 Great content.

I went to Samui in 1991 and was there recently, it's a paradise lost, massively developed, full of snobs, vain instagram photo types, and partygoers. Better to not go and save your lovely memories.

70% Indians live in North India and hence mostly crowded and have basic issues. 25% Indians live in South India which is mostly clean except the capital cities. Visit for Natural beauty -Kullu,Manali,Rishikesh,Laddakh,Kashmir, Darjeeling, Munnar, Lakshdweep,Ooty, Kodaikanal,Coorg,Madikeri,Goa ,Kerala and the mighty Himalayas etc To see modernity- Gurugram,Noida, Bangalore,Pune,Mumbai (mostly),New Delhi (not old Delhi),Hyderabad (not Sikandarabad),Ahmedabad For spiritually-Google about authentic kriya-yog teacher and learn from him. Precautions-Stay in good hotel,Eat in good restaurants (even Indians avoid street food),Travel by good trains (Maharaja,Vande Bharat,metros,Rajdhani) and by rented cars. Avoid travel in rainy season because muddy at many places.Best time to visit India is Jan-May. Avoid capital cities & religiously important cities as those are pretty chaotic/crowded and dirty at many places. One should research well before travelling to an unknown place. 😮
