Great channel. Can I offer some run advice? Your technique is robbing you of TONS of speed and efficiency. I can tell this because even at your fast 5k efforts, your heels are barely coming off the ground. This video will help. 1) more heel lift 2) higher knee 3) less over stride 4) feel like you drive foot strait down, not push back kzbin.info/www/bejne/hZi5eqJ4l818htUsi=cl3ZcwFZ-G8yjxJZ

Hey! Coule you share your lifting workout ?
@cometriwithannie14 күн бұрын
i just do strength workouts on the Peloton app! Usually 30 minute or 45 minute full body or lower body. Adrian Williams and Ben Aldis are my fav instructors. They also have “strength for runners” classes that are really good

Are you following a particular lifting plan or making it up as you go along? I love seeing endurance athletes add strength training.

The biggest con I have with them is if I’m going hard and really pushing hard off the wall on flip turns, the water pressure will push them off my ear. I have small ears for a guy so that may be part of the issue but I generally take them off if I’m doing 50 or 100 sprints.
@cometriwithannie17 күн бұрын
I didn’t have issues, but maybe your push offs are way stronger than mine! I am a triathlete after all 😂

@cometriwithannie You have amazing energy and drive. It's hard after an 8-4 job to fit in workout sessions before and after. In addition, you vlog as well... terrific energy levels I love the soundtrack during the bike ride haha

Amazing 1st ironman results 👏. I unfortunately dnf'd this race. I was dizzy off of t2. Seeing how I couldn't take in fuel I needed to structure that into training. I too started miss the 70.3 distance..but I want to love the full distance so bad,I plan to try this race again next year.

Congrats! I know the feeling you're talking about from during/after the race because I've also experienced something similar during distance events. It SUCKS and feels so bizzare, but (if you don't mind my sharing bc I'm not trying to give unsolicited advice--just share my experience) I've found that eating some solid foods (1/2 a pb&j works great for me) at an easy point in the later part of the race can really help with my stomach and mid-event brain fog. Also, I think sometimes overdoing the caffeine might negatively affect me? Still working that one out! Thanks for a great recap! This is super informative as someone training for their first Ironman next year! :)
@cometriwithannieАй бұрын
thanks! good points. I packed solid food in all my transiton/personal needs bags but didn't take it. A banana probably wouldve been nice in T2!
@raulpinto2436Ай бұрын
Absolutely amazing! Does the total time include the time during transition as well? I second that, doing a marathon in 2025! Congratulations on the soon to happen wedding. The future looks bright guys.

Congrats. give it time you will sign up for another LOL. I have had the same issues at you in the past. Espcially if its hot. I feel like absolute death after the race and just want to curl up and die. This year I found that if I make sure to get nutrition (you may have been over gels at this point, but you could try skratch or something)late in the race I feel better, its like my blood sugar crashed after.

Try backing off the carbs. That’s a lot of salt for a race that may not be all that hot too. The salt chews are fine but all the lmnt and sodium requires alot more water. Best wishes on California. I’m doing Cozumel this year but California perhaps 2025.

Well done 👏 I am sure it gives you a push for your event. Best regards from Germany 🇩🇪 P.S. did my first full distance IM this year in 10:07h and never had such a long brick session, means, it doesn’t need to be that long / hard I guess 😅 but kudos anyway.
