I am an incredibly new Kendoka [Kenshi?] (less than 1 year of commitment) but I had never though of using hiki-waza in any context outside of of tsubazeriai. The hiki-kote as a response to men is so great I will need to ask my Sensei about it! Thank you for this video! <3

Yes I understand upper and or lower body strength can improve strikes but our Shihan Sensei is 80 yrs old and without any upper or lower body strength, he is able to out play all who try. His speed and timing are unmatched. You can work out , do any strength building all you want but timing will beat you. And this only comes from years and years of practice.

素晴らしい動画をありがとうございます。一つ質問があります。相手の首や肩を押し下げる「すずしい」は日本では合法ですか?禁止行為のようです。b

From my point of view, the importance of different matching orders, in order from less important to most important should be Jiho-Senpo-Fukusho-Chuken-Taisho

Hi! I dont know too much about the team rules. Why senpo still fighting? Its a especific rule for it? Or its a special rule of the this championship? Thanks, awesome video!

The term for these types of matches is "kachinuki shiai". Winner stays up to fight the next member of opposing team, if there's a tie both go down. Does tend to be pretty rare that this system is used.
