I am an incredibly new Kendoka [Kenshi?] (less than 1 year of commitment) but I had never though of using hiki-waza in any context outside of of tsubazeriai. The hiki-kote as a response to men is so great I will need to ask my Sensei about it! Thank you for this video!

1:35 really useful waza, but in my seven years of kendo life in japan, I have never seen it rated as ippon. Unfortunately.
