Good luck with your training block. If you can get your weekly mileage up to 30-40 before your taper you'll be fine. 50-60 miles per week is more ideal but I don't think you got enough time, patience is important don't over do it and get injured. It takes the body time to adapt.

Hang in there. I am a bit older than you and I also took a roughly 4 year break from running. I just started getting back into it a couple of months ago and the first couple of weeks are always the worst until your body adjusts back into running.

Another great point about keto causing osteoporosis among other problems. IDK where people get that carbs are bad. doesn't really make sense at all.
