Thank you so much DW - an utterly brilliant and hugely satisfying performance - in a world increasingly dominated by the ordinary and the pedestrian, through these classical music videos you remind us what beauty there still is in the world. I have enjoyed the conductor through past performances - able to bring out the best in the orchestra with minimal movements - a shoulder shrug, a hip sway or raised eyebrows - completely captivating. To my shame, I am unfamiliar with this particular orchestra, but wonder, looking at their average age, if they are something like The West Eastern Divan Orchestra - not a youth orchestra as such, but within a certain age range ? - please excuse my appalling ignorance on this !!!!! A 2012 recording ? Which looks, and sounds as if it were recorded just last week - how do you do it - but, many, many thanks :)

Ce chef dirige toutes les œuvres de la même façon. Sa technique est terriblement réductrice et primaire... Un apprenti chef d'orchestre n'aurait aucune difficulté pour faire beaucoup mieux. Il est bon pour la maison de retraite ce vieux machin..
