Northern tip- soak it down with wd40 each night a week before doing this job, makes it real easy. Honestly did mine not jacked up and did not remove the wheel well liners.

Are you still on the stock injectors?? I have an 07 5.9 g56 with 245k on the clock with stock injectors...your thoughts on that?
@OutpostCTDКүн бұрын
Mine are still stock unless they were replaced before 170k miles. Truck has 441k now. I think if your injectors seem good to keep running them.

Those are called Flag Nuts, When You get your new ones, make sure You tact weld them on or it will happen again. This is a very common issue and is used on different parts of the trucks suspension.. The original ones are barely tack welded at best, and will fail the first time you have to change out your shocks or Track Bar, rear shackles etc.. You can also just weld a metal tab on the nut as well. Thats what I did on a couple of mine just to keep the not from spinning. Lots of anti seize will help prevent it in the future. The tabs they use is .00 tooo thin! is another problem. I wish there were more videos about this Dodge Flag Nut issue. Wish You the best with Your repair my friend.👍

Thanks DC. Tack welding might be the best option actually. I would have soaked this in PB blaster but I grabbed my last bottle and while it was full there was no propellant left in there. So I said I guess I’ll just crank on it. That might have been my mistake but it worked out on the passengers side

Hate to burst bubble and piss all in your Cheerios but I have a 03 h.o 6 speed and worked my truck hard and have stock injectors going on 665,000 now I'm getting ready to order new ones this week. It had hard start to where that old lady needs nose candy to fire up and at times it runs good other times it chugs switching gears and you could hear a miss while idling. So not all go bad early sometimes a guy gets lucky
@OutpostCTD3 күн бұрын
No bubble bursted. Some do last long. I don’t know for sure but mine could be original and that would be 441k miles as of now. I’m noticing that most people reporting 300k+ miles on their injectors have 03 or 04.0 truck with the 2 injection events versus the 04.5+ which have the extra injection event.

Thank you for your time, I use EDT every time I fill my tank, thanks to one of your videos. I have a 2024 Spriter high roof 170 WB, which is heavy in the back. This truck is on the 21+ gpm every time I use it. I have never had a diesel truck before, and I'm impressed. When I fill up, and it shows 580 miles to go, it is usually crazy.

Had these tires 9 years ago on my half ton and they wore like rocks! Pretty sure this is the only tire aside from the M-55 which you can expect a decent life out of on a 3/4 or 1 ton.

Let me guess you have an increase in fuel mileage and the engine runs smoother lol. Its all anecdotal bubs so stop the brainwashing. It takes a engine lifetime to notice a slight difference in improvement.

Better put a gauge on your lift pump I did had 5 lbs at idle. I saw that Fleece had a intank lift pump which it has twin gear motor pumps and runs off factory wiring harness and the second pump runs off its own harness so that means one could go bad and you will be able to drive it on one and I have 21lbs at idle and 18-19 on hard pulls so hope this helps some one .

I had this issue with the right front turn signal. When I took it apart, and pulled the bulb, a crimped staple fell out of the bulb socket. Gremlin solved, I reassembled as is, with no further issue from that assembly. I didn't even change the bulb.

09 3500 6.7: here’s what you do. 1) unplug egr when it’s closed. 2) remove exhaust gas cooler. 3) plate the connections where EGC was. 4) cut window in DPF and completely remove the filter medium. Close up window with connected pipe clamps. 5) change your oil every 10-12k with rotella T4 add 32oz Marvel Mystery oil every change. Result: A) engine codes for egr and DPF; just ignore them. If ‘check engine’ light annoys you then put black electrical tape over it. B) truck will derate power to 70%. No biggy as I can still haul 14k rv in cruise control. C) when towing ALWAYS use 5th and 4th gear appropriately. D) drive like a grandpa and put Power Service fuel lubricant in every tank! I have 1,862,000 miles with original motor, injectors, and transmission, 11th water pump, 5th alternator, 3rd in tank fuel pump, 2nd cp3 (which was preemptively changed at 1.6M before a failure), 4th fan clutch, never had head off. Ps, your odometer stops functioning at 621369, call it a dodge ‘feature’ cuz fools only gave 6 digits and that’s 999999km. You have to keep track of miles manually after that. It’s 2024 and still Rollin strong!

Your engine was cold with the optima’s and at running temp when you started with Everstart, you forgot to not show your dash that before you said “much better”. Be straight up. BTW, I started running Everstart in just about everything 5 years ago including my Tractor that sits all winter long, they work very well.

I had a ram 3500. I didn't change the fuel filter like I was supposed to. It was very sluggish going over the mountains in Arizona. I put this in. When I drove back, there was a noticeable difference. When I got back, I changed the filter.

These are just additives you are looking at. If you start with a very low quality base lube it could have higher additive numbers than any of these and still not be as good as T4. The full syn will be better at neutralizing acids and will have smaller molecules that are more uniform which will lubricate and protect better. 5w-40 should always be a little better than 15w40 because it has more polymers added to bridge that larger gap from 5 to 40.

I’ve used Diesel Kleen intermittently for over 20 years. My current truck, an 07 Silverado Duramax, is just over 400,000 miles and gets the best gas mileage its ever had. 21 on highway, 16-17 city.

Try filing the flashing down on the flange face of the water pump. That gasket does not compress a lot so imperfections on the metal to metal sealing face can cause weak spots in the seal.

Same truck here, I buy that Dorman part is the right one, but wacht out for inside where the two pipes meet is a punch out tab for big pipe to receive the smallest pipe no cut all the way, I have to play with that circular tab for a good while taking them in small chunks, really was obstructing or impiden the coolant flow to circulate properly..
