5.9/6.7 Cooling system - overview and personal experiences

My OEM original radiator on my 2003 just cracked in that same spot. 204K and 21 years old not bad… Doing a new rad, hoses, and putting in a new front crank seal while I have all front coolers out.

Bullet proof diesel makes an aluminum elbow for the 6.7 on that coolant line. Had issue with plastic elbow that cracked and their elbow is a clean look and far superior! Highly recommend

Excellent info to look at for reference! Do you ever notice a slight loss of power with elevated rpms accelarating from standing after the 5.9 has been running for a while on a warmer day, as if it's towing something without a load? Every one in a while my 5.9 will do that moving from a traffic light or a stop.
