If it hasn’t been said, anticipate you right rudder when going around. That will save your life down the road. Focus on your centerline on departure and pick a target along that line in front of you to assure you won’t drift over into another runways space. All in all you did a great job!

This is awesome man, any chance this is through All In Aviation? I want to fly with them, but it seems pricey to build hours with their rates.

How about hand-flying? I don't know why anyone (with some jack, not even that much) would pick a 172 over a 22T for instruction...

I live right down the road from the Henderson airport you took off from! I’ve been looking into getting my pilots license for a while now! But don’t know where I should start. What would you recommend to do first for someone wanting to start their pilot journey?

The longer you fly the cheaper it is? What world are you living in my friend? The billable hours on a SR22 plane ($600 wet/hour) time and instructor time ($600/hour) plus simulator training ($250/hour). 40 hours at MINUMUM (NOT INCLUDING GROUND SCHOOL) is $53K with 40 hours of plane an instructor time plus 20 hours of simulator time. Do the math and tell people how much you paid to get your license! Answer the question with your truth.

Hey Kevin - I think there was a misunderstanding and maybe I didn't explain what I meant well enough, so I apologize. I said the MORE you fly, the less money it will cost overall - meaning if you are able to fly several times a week or more, you will remain more proficient and be able to progress to new things faster, and ultimately up being ready to take your check ride and get your certificate quicker. People that only fly once a week, once a month etc. will have to re-learn things they did on their last flight because as humans, we forget things as time goes on... and there's a lot to remember! This ends up costing substantially more money because you are extremely unlikely to be able to take a check ride around 40-50 hours if you're only flying once every couple weeks. I did most of my training in an SR-20 which was substantially cheaper than the SR22/22T models, and the flight time cost wet is under $400/hr on those planes. The instructor only adds $100/hour to that, not an additional $600/hr. I did not do any time in a simulator, all of my flight time for my PPL was done in an actual plane. Altogether my total cost from 0 hours - private pilot was under $25k and I took my check ride with around 49 hours. Towards the end of your training, a lot of your flight time is solo so you aren't paying for the instructor during these flights which saves that money as well. Hope this helps and if you have any other questions just let me know!!

Kind of disappointed in this one. Proficiency with the title student pilot is accurate, however a proficiency flight is not a 1st time student pilot. The title is a bit misleading. Enjoy the content but this vid got a dislike. And I respect Cirrus MJ enough to know why. New pilots, or aspiring ones, he is a student of aviation, not why you were drawn here because of the YT algorithm.

Nice flying and what a difference twenty years make. I had solloed and was pre cross countries flying a Piper Warrior with steam gauges, I don't think it even had a GPS. Those Cirrus are very nice, I have flown a 22.

Dude, congrats! An easy explanation for slip is instead of landing straight in you come in on an angle. A passenger is another word for a co pilot who should be educated as if their life depends on it because it might. Any questions they have should be explained in layman’s terms.

I live in Vegas and I’m interested in obtaining my PPL. There are many flight schools to choose from, what sets All-in a part from the other schools?
@CirrusMJ
@CirrusMJ 2 жыл бұрын
I actually did a video explaining a bit about the school on here, it's called "Why I went ALL IN For My Flight Training" - but to make a long story short through my searching, visiting and talking with a bunch of other schools in town they have the nicest facilities, nicest planes, best and most professional all around service that I found anywhere in the city. They have a massive fleet of Cirrus and also late-model G1000 C172's as well. The entire staff and instructors are top notch. Give Carl or Reuben a call at the HND location, tell them I sent you and go take a tour to check it out for yourself!

I read that cirrus has the worst safety record in terms of fatal crashes for general aviation. This scares me about the plane. I would feel safer in a Cessna or Piper.

Really enjoying your videos and thinking of doing my training in a Cirrus like you did. Curious: when you rent a plane at an hourly rate, can you fly it to a different airport, spend the day and fly back? And if so, are you only paying for the hours in the air or the full time that you have the plane?
@CirrusMJ

Thanks Mike, really appreciate that! Different places have different rules, but the place I rent from only charges you for the hobbs time and I think most places have a similar policy.
