Good ole Elmer's restaurant on E Palm Canyon Drive. We used to eat there all the time when we come to Palm Springs. They used to have a Coco's right down the street a bit, but they closed down some years ago. Nice little town.

Not an easy airport for first flight...lots of high terrain around kpsp...fly to bullhead city...no car needed...take water taxi to Laughlin for some fun on the river...I live in Vegas and make that trip often...that used to be a $100 hamburger spot...lol

Ugh - so what happened was, during cruise I stopped then re-started the cameras and audio, and when I got home the second half of the audio corrupted and I lost it, so I was forced to just slap some music in there to go along with the video lol going forward, I will definitely always have those in there as long as the file doesn’t explode on me!

@fchang88883 жыл бұрын
@@CirrusMJ Thanks for the quick reply. Did you use All In Aviation? I would love to start training in a Cirrus but wondering on your take. Why start out with a Cirrus vs a Cessna trainer? How long did it take you (hrs vs weeks, how often), especially during Covid? I know..lots of questions.
@CirrusMJ3 жыл бұрын
@@fchang8888 Not a problem at all! Yes, I did all my training with All In Aviation. I chose to do mine in the Cirrus because in my opinion, it is a much more enjoyable and safer aircraft to fly in - and I hope to own one in the future. Additionally, I was able to pick up my high performance endorsement along the way, and it makes it easier to rent a Cirrus elsewhere if they know I was trained at a certified Cirrus training facility. I took my check ride with 48 total hours - I was ready after about 44 but the last few came from just staying current until I was able to schedule the exam. I flew almost daily for 2 months straight, so that helped speed the process along a LOT. My first lesson was October 11th, check ride was January 12th, so 3 months start to finish - would have been done in December but couldn't get a check ride scheduled until after the new year. Ultimately, I could have done it a little cheaper in a Cessna, but I wanted to learn in the plane that I know I want to continue to fly at what is in my opinion the best school and facility in my area!

So how does the radio work ? Can atc hear you when your just talking to the passenger or talking normally? Or do you have to press something or activate it when your talking to atc ? (Sorry for the lack of proper terminology . Just recently got bit by the aviation bug)

@@CirrusMJ Ohh okay that makes sense ! Thanks! Im looking into flight schools in the Vegas area myself . Any recommendations?
@CirrusMJ3 жыл бұрын
@@madmanownzall Yes! I recommend All In Aviation based out of Henderson Executive Airport. They have the best fleet of aircraft in town and their facility and instructors are top notch. They also have a location at N. Las Vegas Airport if that's closer for you! Give them a call and talk to Carl, he can go over all of your options and get you paired up with an instructor!
