Only time will tell comrade. Though at the same time I don't see any viable or healthy socialist alternative here as of now either on or offline, and there really hasn't been for both a long time ago. Though perhaps this may change depending how things will go from here.

​​@@ADHDisYippeeeeeeeeeeAs the experience of the October Revolution showed, socialist forces appeared and gained mass "at the last moment" after a series of defeats of reactionary and liberal forces. Revolutions are usually rapid, spontaneous and unexpected. As for your comment about cynicism, I'd rather have naive optimism among communists than defeatism.

@@ОлегРомащенко-э9х Yes but in Russia, all the major left-wing parties all had major influence before the revolution through years of forming local soviets, teaching their communities and organizing locally first, the Bolsheviks, Mensheviks, Social-Revolutionaries, Anarchists, etc. all did this to some extent way before the Russian revolution. Also, I wouldn't say calling out people who think the revolution is literally a couple days away just because of possible recession as "defeatism". Just that they aren't doing anything to create an enduring and socialist or anarchist movement led by truly genuine people to contrast with our current political and economic model if such a situation was to indeed happen.
