Made a dope video and it just so happened to be one of the most remembered years for our generations lives still being fun, upbeat, still a crazy world but not as crazy as it is now, and people still being somewhat normal compared to now, and just people living and vibing with friends. When I picture this I picture house music/concerts/bond fires/late night runs at 24/7 stores, ice cream at a local ice cream place/ talking to girls/ cookouts/ movies/ fairs and watching fireworks and demo derbys.

Honestly you were like an artistic god to me back in the day. I used to live and breath making films like you, Jay Alvarez (lol now), Brynn North and Rory Kramer. It’s crazy hearing almost a decade later you were experiencing a lot of the same feelings I was. As you say I used to get really stressed about my projects and you (and other major creators in this space) made it look SO easy. I had zero clue so many of the same things I was thinking and feeling you were too despite the fact that I thought your work was literally flawless. I genuinely thought you and other big creators just had some magical talent where this stuff always worked out for you and it was never hard. This was also back when influencer culture was SO strong and young people like me couldn’t see past it. Hearing about your real experience really re-contextualizes a lot of my journey with filmmaking back then. Glad you’re doing well and keeping up the great work.

2025?

I was never a fan of Premier Pro and After Effects. Don't get me wrong, they're great applications, but when I don't like a tool for the way it works and feels, I know from experience that it limits my creativity. A product needs to feel good. I switched to Hitfilm, it felt fine for a while, but bugs, slow performance, half-baked features and those hated subscriptions drove me away. I had another look at DaVince Dissolve, and noticed that it was more than just color grading, it had turned into an advanced editor. I checked the company, I watched reviews of the founders, I tried the program, and was immediately sold! What a great program, it feels like it was made for me, I love it! I'm pretty sure I will buy the full product at one point.
