I started doing KZbin content creation using drones to capture some stunning views. I stumbled across some of your videos a few years back and was amazed at the level of editing you had. It was an inspiration to me and then started to pursue a path that would lead me to becoming a better filmmaker. I started university 2 years ago at aged 48 and i am just entering my 3rd year in film production. I'm then going on to do a masters degree in my 4th year. This video rings home to me regarding 'Change'. Since i started at university, i started to realise what i dont know in the world of filmmaking and it kind of shut me down for the past two years. I lost myself and was questioning myself asking 'Who i was'? All i knew was that i want to be a filmmaker, editor and live a fulfilling life. Creating content on KZbin kind of hit a concrete wall for me. Because i didnt have focus, because i didnt have a certain self awareness, i stopped creating videos due to an overwhelming feeling of imposter syndrome. I needed to find myself again. What was it that was bugging me all this time.? I found some peace and eventually started to realise what it was that i needed to do. Entering my 3rd year at university where im more focused on the specialist modules has put some balance back in my life, given me a purpose again. Like you, i love extreme sports like paragliding and base jumping. These things seem to ground me, humble me in ways that make me understand that the world is a big place and i need to discover more about it and myself. I used to surf and practise brazilian jiu jitsu and those were my mechanisms for grounding me. I used to work 70 hours per week here in england in a job that was suffocating me, slowly killing my spirit and my health. That wasn't me, i am more than working the regular 9 to 5 job. I'm creative and always have been, and it was time that i started to live my life in a way that makes me feel happy and fulfilled. So it was my long -time girlfriend who pushed me into going to university to study filmmaking and ive never looked back. I used to be swayed by the naysayers in life which always pushed me down and gave me little self confidence. Watching your content has ignited that creative spark that was lost. I have found my calling in life and it is filmmaking. While i am still very early on that path, i don't want to stop living this life. I work part-time now and the rest of the time im studying the practises of filmmaking. Hopefully, like you, i will become a more skilled and independent filmmaker. Your honesty is uplifting, and it gives hope to those who feel like they've lost their way. I've reached a point of inner peace and contentment and it's like finding myself again and starting a new chapter in my life. Keep on that journey Sam, keep finding yourself and thank you for your honesty. It has helped me find my path.

I grew up watching your videos since I was 15 in Ecuador, and last month, I graduated from film school at NYU. Every now and then, when directing becomes overwhelming and I need redirection, I go back and watch your old videos to remind myself why my younger self dreamt about this. Watching your videos now seems like a lifetime ago, but I'm so glad to have grown as an artist next to you, and it is amazing to see this new chapter for you as well. Best of luck in everything, I'm so excited to see what you create next!

You're a major reason I got into the world of videography and entertainment in 2017. Seeing this video is insanely inspiring and comforting to realize that even the greats feel burnout. I've gone through so many ups and downs in my career already and I'm only 24, but it's really cool watching this and seeing you return (in whatever way that may be). Amazing to know you're still at it and you'll continue inspiring the next generation. Keep killing it, and can't wait to see a "my life" video one day

As creatives we live such an interesting dynamic; the less of our output on social media often means the more personal growth. But at the same time, often, people think we're growing less because there's less of us on social media. :) Thank you for sharing your amazing growth, great video! Sam! I don't think I have ever been inspired to this extent before. The highest degree of inspiration was given by you back then when you were more active here and it was also the time I had started dreaming and wanting more from life. The fire to my wings has dimmed lately as I have also welcomed a lot of changes both good and bad. I've become myopic to thoughts of watering those dreams in recent times but tonight watching this video, watching you and your story had me reconnected to my older self who wasn't afraid to dream and also fired up my current self to go for it. It has also made me realise how much I outsource inspiration from you, from what you do and love, determination and hardwork you are willing to put and honestly I just feel determined to walk towards the very changes I want to bring in my lifestyle. It has been on my mind but I think your video is that final push I needed so much so I just want to thank you here for refusing to give up on you and being consistent in knowing more parts of you, unlocking new potential and a big congrats for cruising through and through. Couldn't be more proud as a follower! Much love ❤️

It was because of you that I got into filmmaking and travelling, like many other people. And thank you Tim, for telling Sam to follow and chase his dreams and for believing he would get into filmmaking school (even tho we know he didn't, and as it turned out, Sam didn't need any filmmaking school). Been watching for a couple years now. Always an Inspiration. Your "Hey Tim" video actually inspired me to dive into a passion I had let go years ago. Filmmaking. I have fallen in love with the process all over again, and this is another video that inspires me to keep going. Here's to many more epic films!

As an artist my self, what you went through was totally understandable like how every artist has to experience. But hey! Only the strong minded ones can surpass it and we know for sure you are one of those! Still, whatever your life decisions Sam, we will continue supporting you! Now it's really good to know that you are now going for film production coz finally I can see more of you and what you can do more! It's great coz I am also now starting my film production journey from doing travel and wedding films. Stay crazy!

Everytime you drop a video you make me question my life ,the reality, my existence. You are so freakin goood that it annoys me to another level. It forces my mind to think beyond the limitations. Thank you for that 🌻

love to see it Sam! I think so many of us creators or agency owners are feeling the same way: we want to slow down but were stuck in the cycle. And your video just answered so many of my thoughts and gave me clarity. Thank you, can't wait for the next one
