This is great! I am surprised Sam didn't include storytelling. His storytelling has grown SO MUCH over these last few years. He has always been amazing at capturing beautiful moments, but his latest videos aren't just moments; they are beautiful stories with a wonderful story arc attached. I love this!

Honestly you were like an artistic god to me back in the day. I used to live and breath making films like you, Jay Alvarez (lol now), Brynn North and Rory Kramer. It’s crazy hearing almost a decade later you were experiencing a lot of the same feelings I was. As you say I used to get really stressed about my projects and you (and other major creators in this space) made it look SO easy. I had zero clue so many of the same things I was thinking and feeling you were too despite the fact that I thought your work was literally flawless. I genuinely thought you and other big creators just had some magical talent where this stuff always worked out for you and it was never hard. This was also back when influencer culture was SO strong and young people like me couldn’t see past it. Hearing about your real experience really re-contextualizes a lot of my journey with filmmaking back then. Glad you’re doing well and keeping up the great work.

A few years ago Sam uploaded a video and I couldn't watch it because I was on a tiny remote island in the Philippines during a thunderstorm in a bamboo hut with limited reception. Man I first saw your videos in 2016 when I was 16 learning to edit. I remember you being a huge inspiration back than and fast forward now im 23 and Ive made Videography/Video Editing a full-time career working for a performer filming his shows nightly and traveling to amazing gigs like the Warriors NBA game, and Hawaii. I honestly don't know if this would be my career right now if it wasn't for seeing you and other creators as a 16 year old kid. Its fun to see your insights growth in production and relatability when it comes to creative challenges.

Great tips! I think Sams videos are a great way to showcase growth, change and reflection. the importance of collaboration: 100% yes. BUT, I feel so alone in this content world as a woman. I´ve been trying to build my connections with other creators around me but it feels like their perception is about us being rivals when actually we are stronger together as creators and can uplift eachother. I´m still waiting for my time to find those creators and collaborate on stories I so badly want to tell, but I can´t do it on my own.
