I actually have two “truck guns”. One which I carry a lot is a PSA Dagger 9mm threaded barrel, suppressor height sights that cowitness with a Holosan red dot. My second “truck gun” is a PSA 10.5” with Vortex red dot, MBUS cowitness flip up sights, PTK/VTS, and a single point sling. I keep 3 spare mags for each, and at least two fixed blade knives. This is my main weapons load out for a “get home” bag. PSA has some excellent, very reliable products that stand up to a lot of abuse.

So… my 7” AR-15 pistol might be a little loud? Fits in my bag nicely though. And stop with the tumble and destruction argument. It’s been proven false repeatedly, and it’s being used against gun owners by politicians.

pro tip. use distilled bottled water in the updated clear plastic. you'll not have to clean it really at all. takes out the micro plastics and then just add some high quality electrolytes. magic.

My truck attracts too much attention to want to keep a rifle in it, unless I am going out to shoot guns somewhere. My truck is a 1986 Chevy crew cab with 12" lift and 40" tires. I cannot take that thing anywhere without somebody asking me if I want to sell it, or leave a note on it asking if I want to sell it. I just carry a Sig in .40 caliber that can hold 15-rounds.

Like this video. Currently, I have a Kel Tek P50. I know a lot of people do not like the 5.7X.28 round but the range is sufficient for anything I will need and 50 rounds per mag in that form factor is hard to beat. I also drive a small vehicle and needed something smaller to be able to conceal it in the car. I like your setup and am considering doing something similar for my other vehicle which is a bit bigger even though I do not drive it as frequently. I also like the bag you have for yours. I think that is one thing I will change. I may also go with a backpack as was suggested by one of the other commenters. You can learn from commenters as well as the video.

Good info. Thanks. RE: 8:5 - 8:9, 'sjl' changed her hair. 'Shee-lAh JackASS;n Lee', y'mean the same JackASS'n Lee that went to the JPL in Pasadena CAWCAW and was TOTALLY INCENSED that there were no pictures of the Astronauts when they landed on Mars? Well, whoda thunkit ?!! Why have there been numerous flight attendants who've said 'that same Shee-lAh JackASS;n Lee' was 'Top of the Lot' of RUDE, ARROGANT and NASTY passengers on their flights? Oh. Got it! Shee-lah JackASS;n Lee was in the US Congress, Mackswine Squatter was one of those, too. Of course, since those are so spechul, those have 'Spechul Rights to be RUDE, ARROGANT and NASTY

I also chose a 10.5" with a cheap-er Primary Arms 1x prism and flip sights. I 'had' a 7.5" and the muzzle blast was atrocious. I think a 10.5" is the sweet spot for the 5.56.

Great video and very clear explanation! However I do have a question. What are your thoughts on doing an AR pistol in a 9mm caliber and using a shorter barrel such as 7” compared to what you just showed us? Genuinely curious as I’m new to a lot of this and love the idea of you just went over. I do currently have a full size 5.56 and 2 9mm pistols (one for concealed carry, the other home defense and when open carry while camping). Thanks for any advise!

Thank god I live in TX where I can have a rifle in my vehicle, 100% visible and carry it anywhere I can legally carry a firearm. Pistols mst be in a holster, even in a vehicle. Rifles do not. That’s why I have an SBR. Thank you so much for saying the thing about stickers. I go a step further and say put the coexist sticker on your truck. That way people will discount you as not a threat. 😂😂😂

You need a way to secure this in your vehicle. I have never understood the whole get a cheap truck gun so if it gets stolen I won’t miss it. No. You just armed a criminal with a long gun. Do not do this. Spend a little more and get a proper lock box or locking mechanism for the gun. Use the money you saved by buying a cheap gun to ensure your gun doesn’t kill an innocent person.

I lock mine behind the back seat if I will not be in the vehicle for longer than a few minutes, this convenience store run. If I’m going anywhere for longer, it goes into a backpack with me or gets locked behind the back seat. My truck gun fits into a carry backpack form vertx and I can deploy it from the bag while wearing it. I love the other considerations and we all have different methods. Thanks for the video! It earned you a new sub.

What complaints could you have against the PSA "lineup"? Since you've never owned one before now I don't see how you could have any. People who complain about PSA the most are the ones who didn't read the product description and didn't know what they were buying. I only purchase PSA products that meet US military specifications- which the description will state if it is. You can purchase a fully assembled PSA mil-spec AR-15 on their website for about $400. People who don't want or need that value should buy something else. Most PSA rifles cost in the $600-800 range. I buy mine with an upgraded barrel and without the charging handle and BCG because I like to purchase upgraded components for those. When I'm all done putting mine together, I usually have somewhere around $1100-1200 invested in a nicely appointed and accessorized General Purpose Rifle that is just the setup that I like. I don't own a Daniel Defense because I don't want or need one, no apologies to anybody for that.

Good video, and lots of interesting comments. Personally, I don't think a SHTF event can happen in America unless we have a nuclear war and NORAD can't take them all out. In other places that are doing their very best to replace their existing population with Muslims, I'm not so optimistic. I think they're good candidates for at the very least massively destructive civil wars. So, for now at least, I'm neither a prepper nor a survivalist. At my age, I have no illusions about my ability to don a leather jacket, a hatchet, a knife, a backpack, and an AR-15 and just walk off into the woods and survive. Not gonna happen. If we get nuked, then we'll all do what we have to, as we are able. Until then, I'm just going to continue my weekly trip to the range, and make nice with the neighbors.

Not saying I have any of these ... There was a boating accident ... My truck gun needs are fluid. Some days a 10.5" with 1:8 twist rate AR style pistol works ... other days a 16" with a 1:10 twist rate AK style side folder takes it's place ... on all days they feed from 40 unit or larger dispensing devices ... and there's always several of those ... Remember ... If you use it the cops will take it ... and they're going to everything they can to keep it ... Act accordingly

To high a risk that the car will be broke into. I can keep a lock box for a pistol in the vehicle. For a long gun? Some one takes my long gun, and goes on a spree? That would be on my conscience.

They make a left side folding adapter for the AR. Down side is the rifle cannot be fired while folded. Up side it reduces the overall length to that of the receiver plus barrel for ease of storage.

PSA makes superb quality products. Sadly 99% of the denigrators are subscribed social media forum addicts and need to brag about a name brand. I am an Army veteran, and I choose a PSA freedom kit, as it is a basic robust rifle and it works 100% of the time. Bought a PSA 10.5" kit, added in a RAB -AD and it fits in a tennis racket bag.

I believe that we are headed for a "Collapse of the Bronze age" event that will affect not only the US but the world in general. Something like the events that destroyed nearly all of the empires of the late Bronze age. Only Egypt survived yet was greatly affected. Also, yes I believe that America is past the point of no return in its rush to destruction. The principles that once united this people to start and establish a new nation are not the same ones they hold near and dear today. The concepts of God's authority, what is right and wrong based upon His authority, and truth have been long since abandoned by our nation. IN short, we are begging for destruction with out wonton wickedness.
