Congratulations to my fellow MGs from other counties. Seems as though our Program Director completely forgot to tell us about this. Yes, communication is so important!!!!! Especially when you put your heart and soul into a project and work for free for hours!

Hi Anne, Thank you for your comment. Gardeners with Heart are identified locally; the statewide office releases the nomination forms in January/February. If you have recommendations for UC Master Gardeners to be considered for Contra Costa, please connect with your coordinator, Dawn Kooyumjian. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions about the process. Thank you for all the hard work you have put in for the UC Master Gardeners. We are so grateful for all of you!

What if you have some older thicker canes and don't see any nodes. If you clip too far above a node, will that node not grow ?

Why do nursery’s sell water hog plants and not native. Lowe’s and Home Depot in yuba city doesn’t sell natives. Maybe they need to stop selling the invasive plants.
