Why doesn`t it have a handle/grip? I`m sorry, I don`t know the correct term. You know, to slide your hand through for better hold. My fingers tend to become numb without it.

OK - this is PaddockWood from the COTH board. Adore you and thank you. Hadn't even thought about the fetlocks. One question. Why is that fella tapping on her neck?

I have a horse that is 10 years old. He is down hill and sometimes stands like a goat on a rock. Finally got a good balanced trim and his feet have improved a lot. Now learning about fascia release for his whole body and working on that and also the dents and dings in his neck and chest. Is there anything U can do for the down hill part and standing like a goat on a rock stance? Thanks!

Once you have the feet coming into better balance you can improve the posture so that he stands truly four square with all four cannon bones on the vertical. You must be sure that his heels are not too low especially on the hind feet, aka negative palmar angle. That causes the hind leg to straighten through the hip stifle and hock and causes the butt high down hill posture. Creating stress and pain in the lower leg tendons and suspensory ligament and tightness through the hamstrings. So quality hoof growth and balance is imperative for a good postural foundation. Then the changes you make about in the myofascial system will help his alignment, posture and performance and normalized pressure into the hoof capsule. WATCH my video on PLANTAR FASCIITIS and ROTATOR CUFF will help too.

Is it best to groom the horse cold or after a workout when the muscles are warmed? What is the significance of the belly sounds during massage/bodywork?
