Mortal Kombat was inspired to create Johnny Cage because of the movie Bloodsport. (Notice the same fighting outfit on JCVD when he’s fighting Chong Li except he has a golden slash no slippers while Johnny Cage’s is red and has slippers) MK Devs promised JCVD he will have a part in MK but never got it 30 years later he’s in the new MK.
