It looks great, I like Spam because it's cheap and it tastes good. I like to have it with eggs or add it into ramen noodles, egg noodles. Sometimes I make a sandwich with cheese. Your kitchen looked pretty clean to me.

You know you can buy low sodium spam, it costs the same. The Good Butter comes from Wisconsin. You could line a cookie sheet with aluminum foil, spray it with Pam and cook the spam and sauce in that. You could do it all in 1 batch and it come out about the same, at the end turn on the broiler so brown the top.

Looks like a good way to eat spam if you have to! Removing the salt was excellent info. Thanks

Love spam but the salt is strong enough to pickle my organs.... I'm going to give this a shot! Thinking if it's sliced thin enough it might have a really nice texture!

Yes I can remember those finger slicers! It wasn't just spam that had them. I'm almost 70 but I can remember tins of cigarettes you had to open that way! But getting back to spam. They say it's pork, I think , but it didn't taste like anything animal! I'd eat it if sliced thin, then pan fried crispy with a shot of mustard to cover the fatty taste the frying didn't get rid of. It's very strange that I just got a craving for a fried spam sandwich! Haven't eaten it in at least 40 years.

A far better way is to throw it in the bin.

You can rotate the block of spam before putting it into the slicer so that your slices come out square. This does away with the two end slices being rounded on the end of the meat block.

marilynpena3526--I'm 70 yrs old & I sure do remember using that key to open the can of spam, as a kid.I hated that key, cause it was so darn hard to get the key to go straight on the can!(For me I always went crooked, so was a pain to get open! No to mention the hazard of trying to not get cut by that thin strip!) I was so happy that they changed that!
