Poppy’s screams have gotten quite powerful, I love how female screamers are just taking over the metal scene, I remember back in the day we just had Otep, Kittie, & Arch Enemy who really set the stage for what we’re seeing now which is just incredible

This and ‘Crystallized’ on the same record is something only she can make work but it’s a regular occurrence at this point. She could do a country song and find a way to make it sound great.

Bro there's many many many other bands that have pop and heavy songs on the same album she's not the first and only one who can do this.

@@KyleWebber-n9qwhat bands? I’m curious which have THAT drastic of contrast
@yas768922 сағат бұрын
what i like in this album it sounds more cohesive (the pop and metal tracks, like the Crystalized > Vital > Push Go run is such smooth transition back to metal) as opposed to AmIAGirl or IDisagree(More) where it's more choppy if u get what i mean

Love poppy. She’s not the only one who pulls this off. Not first and won’t be the last. Great execution on her end tho.

What's interesting is this isn't the studio track that landed on the album, this is a live one-take. Has different screams than what we ended up getting. And yeah I feel like this is the song where Stephen Harrison from The Chariot's involvement really shows. Feel like he's not getting enough credit for cowriting compared to Jordan on this album.

Yup! if not for Poppy and Stevis Harrison pushing Jordan to break out of his BMTH forumula this album would sound like the new Fish architects song... PREDICTABLE! Jordan should really think about making this trio his super producer team. Will metalheads take direction from Poppy in the studio? That's the question.

When you think about where poppy came from years ago with those ultra weird videos where’s she’s like a strange robotic person it really is an insane contrast.

That heavy section right after the spoken word part really gave me Suicide Silence / Chelsea Grin vibes. The record is very well put together imo, no skippers and while some people may disagree with me, I don’t think there’s any fluff on the record.

for your question about touring musicians, as far as I'm aware she always has the same band with her. At the very least, her drummer Ralph Alexander is definitely gonna be there.
@oaktowndimond6685 сағат бұрын
It's almost always Ralph Alexander on drums (live and in the studio). jordan just had him using triggers on most tracks. Her current touring guitarist is Johnuel Hasney from Toothgrinder. Fucking incredible band! I hope Johnnuel will become poppy's new Chris Greatti in the studio. Chris was the mad scientist behind I disagree (plus the guitar shredder)... NOT TITANIC!

The opening is so similar to the opening of Virus://Vibrance by Vein that the first time I was listening to Poppy’s new album I thought I accidentally had hit play on Errorzone 😅 I absolutely love her new album though, I think it’s the tightest release from her yet.
