Hi Harry I can get my YGE telemetry on my motor to RX port E1 or E2 but when I plug in my SE4 (changing in jetibox to "sensor" pin 4) it will not read it? is this not compatible with an SE4?

Hi Harry, I'm just learning about flight modes on my DS-24 and wish to simply add some preset control surface values for each mode. I feel like I've followed your videos pretty closely but nothing happens at the servos when I change mode. I'm obviously missing something. Can you point me in the direction of troubleshooting my setup? Thank you very much... jerry

Harry, please disregard my query of a few minutes ago. I had a thought and decided to give it another go. I was getting confused about which mode I was trying to preset. Long story, but it was "pilot error" and happily i figured it out. Thank you greatly for the education you're sharing with us! Jerry

Thanks for those super detailed video Harry ! Can I use a 900Ng instead of a second REx3 given the DS12 doesn’t have two 2.4 modules ? Using CB 220 with Cortex pro
@cotswoldpilot
@cotswoldpilot 11 күн бұрын
No and yes! You can set a ds 12 to double path. You must not connect a 900 to one of the cortex pro inputs. However you can connect a 900 to one of the Rex E ports set as Exbus input/backup, and then connect that Rex to the cortex pro.
@VTOL1973
@VTOL1973 11 күн бұрын
Thanks Harry, I have my DS in dual path but was told by a Jeti seller it’s detrimental to signal since there is only one module, so you reckon I can still use dual path and connect the 900 to the second Rex 3 as you mentioned? If I connect the 900 on E1-3 ( like you said on the video ) I would lose telemetry if Rex 3 P loose signal, correct ?
@cotswoldpilot
@cotswoldpilot 11 күн бұрын
@VTOL1973 I would maybe use 1 x Rex, in Default transmission mode, with 900 backup into the Rex, and 900 backup also into Rx2 port of the CB but switchover strategy then must be 80 or 150ms, you must not set it to "mixing"@@VTOL1973

Hello Harry, thank you for the video. There is one thing that might be interesting for many Jeti users who need to change what transmitter their receiver is bound to. While the common method is to connect the red "Bind Plug" to the receiver, there is another method that, in my experience, not many people know about. Here are the steps: 1. For safety, remove any props before proceeding! 2. Turn ON the already-bound transmitter (let's call it Tx-1) and the receiver in your model. 3. On the Jeti-Box Emulator on Tx-1, navigate to the receiver menu: “ <- Rx ->”. 4. Once there, continue to the menu showing the connected receiver type (e.g., “ Duplex R5 EX >> ”). 5. Inside that menu, you will find << Pairing ^ >>. 6. By pressing the Up-key, the receiver will enter the pairing mode, just like when using the red Bind Plug. 7. Turn off Tx-1 and turn ON the new transmitter. The new transmitter should find the receiver and bind to it (a timer will display, showing how much time you have left for binding). This method can be especially useful when a receiver is difficult to reach inside the model. For more information, you can visit: jetiforum.de/index.php/4-jeti-sender/6731-uebertragen-der-bindung-mit-hilfe-von-paring

Harry, I see many of your videos are older so not sure if you still monitor comments. But just wanted to thank you! for these "tutorials". I am brand new to Jeti after years of Spektrum so this kind of help is so important to me. Most everything on my DS-24 is new to me, but I grabbed this particular video as it piqued my interest - partly for the ultimate result, but also for your mention of "logic" programming. As a retired IT guy, I found myself literally smiling as I followed along with your directions. Not only was this video informative and timely, it was FUN, haha. Thanks again..... jerry g

Jeti DS 24 II. Have a switch for Gear . Want to use Rudder Trim for trimming rudder in flight. However with Gear switch Down, want to use the Rudder Trim to trim the nosewheel steering which is on a separate channel and servo. How do I go about it ? Your inputs appreciated.
@cotswoldpilot
@cotswoldpilot Ай бұрын
yes but - when you switch between them the trim on the disabled one goes to 0%. Not really a problem for the nose steering but means when you switch gear down the rudder trim goes to zero, it comes back to the trimmed value when you put gear up. On jets and edf I take the view that rudder trimming is never required and put the trim permanently onto nose steering. If you need both then one of them will have to be on a separate control used as a trimmer such as the buttons on the back or a rotary P control.
