I think Star Wars was dead back in 2010 even before Disney with The Force Unleashed 2. That whole game felt like a warning about the incoming Disney destruction and how LucasArts was imploding. I mean it doesn’t get any more simple than the trailers talking about Starkiller dying explicitly and Starkiller being who represented the brand back then. The pickled clone Jedi stillborn starkillers on an assembly line then the canned games after that like 1313 and first assault. I think Star Wars would have been toast either way. But if Lucas went down with the ship, it would've been at least more natural and way less stretched out than this.
