Sorry to be downcast, but gameplay is really loose in Swelter, the 'puzzles' are tedious and boring, and there is a glitch. When jumping onto the large reel of cable to get onto the steps, the reel is full instead of half empty, so it's not possible to get onto it therefore not possible to reach the steps, therefore not possible to continue the game. Very poor.

@1lucia torrents are basically programs that let you donwload mods and stuff. You can set the download limit upload limit or make it unlimited. You can also set Bandwidth allocation which is just how fast you want your mod to download. And thats it!

Usually when I see the borealis in a mod I go “wow… they actually did it, hmph.” But this one had me go, verbatim “goddamn… holy Sh*t.”

I like playing the "guess the image" game, but even after staring at the intro for a good 10 minutes, the true answer had not even crossed my mind. I was stuck on some sort of landscape, but I couldn't remember any spot in the game that looked like that. The closest I got was "maybe a piece of a character model at a weird angle". I guess that is technically true. I could give a slight pass on the graffiti if it is rare, except for the take on women put right in your face to the point you can't miss it. That was uncalled for. The "item" in Alex's room, I could give a pass if it wasn't just completely out in the open, like if you really had to know where it was to find it. Also the "fully modeled" was obviously completely unnecessary. Nobody would find that in a normal play through... hopefully.

I appreciate the subtitles a lot, and taking the time to hardcode them with a better font than KZbin's built-in subtitles is great too.

As long as it is confirmed canon, I wouldn't mind HLX being a gearbox expansion type thing. Kinda actually makes sense for the game to be that type of thing seeing as the expansions did delve into more xen stuff.

This video reminded me that I owned the game and I guess just never finished it? I didn't have a save file but I did apparently have 4 hours of playtime. Was not a fan of the puzzle in the water area with the vent where you balance the prop as a bridge and jump off of the railing.

Yea I think what is saying is true. Combine attack was easy because they have very limited points of attack, when humanity take shelters to big cities. So the migration of popluation takes place and it would not be done in few days rather years. 2 years or more could be a smart shot. Lot's of people die in combine invasion so children mortal rate sky high. Now if we took example that it happend few days after black mesa the war could last much longer, as humanity would be spread accros the globe. I know it was massive attack but still it makes no seasne. And the third, the combine still needed time to clean up xen world. As Xen and combine fight each other bofre half life 1
