This is amazing! I'm currently a 3rd yr prepping for STEP 1. I struggled with finding balance & a consistent time to work out during yrs 1-2. I think that balanced alluded me because didactic yrs kept me so busy with lectures, labs, small groups, etc,. I have finally carved out time to hit the gym every day during dedicated 🙌 & I love it!

How is it that she didn’t have Pathophysiology, Microbiology, Anatomy & Physiology and even Pharmacology, as a core backbone of Nursing. Was she an Lvn. I ask this because these are the core foundation of Nursing, not to mention Medicine itself. During Nursing School, Bsn, I’ve never heard of failure of a course being acceptable. There’s no leeway, they don’t work with you. The program is extremely strict and I agree with these standards. Lives are at stake. The Nurse is the eyes and ears of the Dr. And many times provide oversight management to prevent errors in care to keep patients safe from harm. The Nurse is taught to anticipate or know what the patient will or should need to treat the disease process, and to know when the treatment plan deviates from this. I would never want to have a Nurse take care of me or my family that failed and the University “worked” with them, Never mind an MD. Nurses and Dr’s are fundamentally taught differently when it comes to treating the patient as a whole. Yet, the main difference is that Nurses are taught to also to think like the Md. Ex when calling an MD with a list of symptoms, they should know what treatment to expect and request if the right course is not being followed. In this case, it seems as though she doesn’t have any real Nursing foundation, which would create an easier transition Bridging to MD. I’m just having a difficult time with her transition to Md. Why was she not accepted to at least 1 Us schools. MCAT Scores are more important than the desire to be a Doctor. Its designed to assess problem solving, critical thinking, written analysis and knowledge of scientific concepts and principles. If her scores were too low after repeating the testing, then perhaps she’s on the wrong course. I also noticed she didn’t have one good thing to say about the Only university that accepted her.

Surface level, you don’t understand why you see the signs and symptoms.... This statement is incredibly opposite than everything that I and coworkers have learned and are still learning. Perhaps Nursing Education is different in your state. I was taught the Complete Disease Process, Pathophys and treatment. From the Krebs Cycle, Molecular cell level to Disease Process. What a waste of time if you weren’t taught this way! Sounds like , based on her Nursing education, she should have done premed instead!
