I am going to built one of your Gen 23s this month. The Gen 23N seems really cool, but i'm about 185 and 6'. How did you determine that it would only be good for people under 170 and 5'9. What is the width of the original Gen 23? I'm curious how much less buoyancy Gen 23N has vs the Original Gen23
@DIYUSA
@DIYUSA 7 күн бұрын
Thanks for asking such a good question. The height and weight I provided are estimations, based on the observations of different paddlers using different designs. I have a friend (6 ft tall, 200 lbs.) tried out the Gen 23 (beam 28"). It was a very comfortable fit and he really like the size. Of course, it would be even better if the boat is longer for the 6' tall person. But that design is a bit too wide (at 28") for me (5'5", 135Lbs), also the 10" high gunwale is a bit high, and I have to use a 4-5" seat. Hence, I came out with Gen 23-N, which is really nice for my body weight and height. I have a friend at around 170 Lbs. and 5'9" to tried that out, and he feel it is a right size for him. I will work out the difference in buoyancy when I return home in ten days (I am traveling). Please stay tuned!

I found the spreadsheet and these are the estimations: for Gen 23N Beam 25" , after deducted the weight of the boat, at draft 3", it can handle 164 Lbs. and 3.5" draft - 193 Lbs. For the Gen 23, Beam 28" draft 3" 185 Lbs., draft 3.5" 218 Lbs.

From the google search 🙂The Galaxy Tab A7 Lite includes the accelerometer and compass from the regular Galaxy Tab A7. However, it is devoid of any gyroscope sensors, meaning apps and games that require gyroscope functionality will not work. It comes with Wi-Fi 5, Wi-Fi Direct, and Bluetooth 5.0, as well as GPS+GLONASS, Beidou, and Galileo.

How do you apply the mask after editing the video with the border frame template?
@DIYUSA
@DIYUSA Ай бұрын
Thanks for asking. The yellow (border) frame you downloaded is a .png file, which is used to define the main portion of the video you want to keep. At 1:51, I mentioned to use masks to block of the left and right side of the original video. There is an easier way to do that, is to use ‘cropping’ feature to cut the left and right portion of the original video. Hope I have answered your question. If not, please let me know. Thanks.

What did you do with Prius C? Also, instead of lashing, could you have used the seat belt on back side of back rest and still use seatbelt latch?
@DIYUSA
@DIYUSA Ай бұрын
I really like my Prius C, but I have it for almost 9 years and my friend willing to pay $11500 for it so I sold that car. The Bolt EUV, after rebate cost me around $22000, that means I spent $10500 to get the new car. You asked a very good question, and I try to use the seat belt instead of the lashing. The problem is the seat belt can bind the wood frame diagonally. It is not very secure. Hence using a lashing or even a piece of rope to hold the frame in place is a better solution.

That was my relative's house, I was there to help them to move out. The new owner sent an inspector before buying the house, and the house passed the inspection. Obviously, the inspector has not checked the clothes dryer. The washer / dryer set is in very good condition, but the new owner didn't want it, so we have to remove the washer/dryer set and found the problem. It is luck they decided not to keep the dryer. Otherwise, this problem might not have been discovered, and the new owner would face the risk.

What coroplast thickness you do recommend? Is 6mm good enough? Or i should go for 10mm?
@DIYUSA
@DIYUSA Ай бұрын
ORU and other boat builders use 5 mm, 4 mm will work, but too weak and if you step on the coroplast, it will collapse. 4 mm is very easy to work with and easy to fold. I use 6 mm because that is what I have. 10 mm is too thick. very difficult to fold. I do use that for the floor. It is very strong. My friend built the boats with 4 mm coroplast from Home Depot. Thanks for asking this question. In one experiment, I was able to run the motor at 300 Watt. In my other experiment, it run at 200'ish Watt only because the battery voltage dropped and couldn't provide enough power to the motor. You can always adjust the speed of the motor so it will draw less power and will have less chance for damaging the motor. I also used a 30A ESC and I need a heat sink so the ESC will not shut down due to overheating.

First attempt and I had the same issue as you with a corner pulling off. Because of the shape of the boat it is hard to lay it flat to apply pressure. I was also worried about damaging the boat more by getting it too hot so I am using the tape method. We will see how it holds up. I am holding onto the sign I acquired in case I end up needing to use this method in the end.

@@dgwk369 I do use gorilla tape, the thicker version to fix cracks (after I have filled the cracked channel with silicone caulk). It will work well. I also place gorilla tape on top of the critical areas to reduce the chance of abrasion and damage the coroplast. Using heat to fuses the plastic takes practice and I have been doing this for 6-7 years. I am getting better at it. But I still do make mistakes occasionally. Thanks for the update!

I just haven't had time to finish that part and test it.
