hey this is awesome but i was wondering if the gen 23 would be able to hold a normal seat for better comfortably and also what is the weight limit
@DIYUSA10 ай бұрын
Thanks for asking, my guess a normal kayak seat is the one you can buy at Amazon. Yes, you can fit that kind of seat. I have tried a more comfortable seat as shown in these videos (on similar boats) kzbin.info/www/bejne/rGeqoo2LptOEmJIsi=M3vXyiIhUodIZwSi and kzbin.info/www/bejne/kKiQlqyle5WffpYsi=0e0Hjp4mzbXMO52b The reason I made the seat is because those comfortable seats are usually 3-4 lbs. The one I made is less than 1 lb. I have tested the Gen 23 kayak with a 6 ft tall person weighs 215 lbs. It fits perfectly, much better than I have expected. The draft is at around 3". At 4" draft, which is the max. I will try on that boat, it should be able to handle a load of 245 lbs.

Great idea! I wonder if you heat both sheet joints at the same time (multiple heat guns), then reverse one of them to weld them on the joint. Hard to explain in a textual comment.

No need to reverse the heated coroplast. The sheet is thin and the heat gun can melt both top and bottom layers easily. I have different videos showing how I did that (different methods) in the past few years. kzbin.info/aero/PL2ShZzOUu01uPMusHshCexb9YUnGn16xJ&si=-QUvyFtXsNUxDOoi Cheers!
