I have a pitch for a Skyscraper retrain. This cards name is always treated as "Skyscraper". Add 1 "Polymerization" and 1 Normal "Elemental HERO" monster from your deck/GY to your hand. Elemental HERO fusion monsters whose fusion material included at least 1 Normal Elemental HERO monster or lists "Elemental HERO Neos" as fusion material are unaffected by your opponent's card effects. At the start of the battle phase, you can activate 1 "Skydive Scorcher" from your deck.

This is why I have come to playing Masked Hero's with a 2015 mentality; Heroes with HIGH impact trap cards. I've been learning with decks, generally, if you want to play something older, but it sucks as a combo deck, then pivot to grindy controlling, if it can't do that, then just forget it, move onto something else. I like playing decks that don't die as soon as someone has an Ash Blossom.

@RogueHero It's really fun. 3x Stratos, 3x Shadow Mist, 3x Solid, and 1-2x Liquid is a pretty nice grindy search engine. We've got plenty of High Impact traps that pack a punch (I've been LOVING quaking mirror force) and with Detonator being a jerk, this gives us loads of incentive to play Waking the Dragon. Not to mention, I LOVE the more generic versatility of what I get to run in the Extra Deck.

We need: Agree with the negates to play around Nib and other HTs Any other reliable way to search poly other than just Vyon so you can still access ur fusions if Vyon is negated As for playstyle they should lean more into the toolbox aspect of it. The Masked HERO fusions kinda lean into that, but only like 2 of them were really any good (Dark Law and Acid). The main problem woudl just be extra deck space Stratos not being OPT might be what Konami is scared of. Maybe they could nust errata him to have a OPT on the search effect and change him to an if effect.

The thing that gets me is that the card is perfectly fine but its not at all what the deck needed. Hero has enough extenders, it has enough starters, it NEEDS a way to insulate itself from Nibiru, it needs a stronger endboard.

Konami can easily make Heroes and my archetype Nordics broken if they wanted too. They just don’t want too because Konami doesn’t want these decks to outdo the current meta decks and add dumb restrictions to these decks that are already underpowered to begin with and make no sense.

My only problem with this is that its second effects works like Denier's, but somehow worse. I like the balance that it has, but this card benefits more from it being once per turn for both effects, as it can still be negated quite easily. The decision to make it once per duel actually makes no sense, as it requires a card in relation to dark fusion, and as I mentioned before, it can be easily negated, or certain monsters are immune to battle destruction.

what heroes need the most is a consistent way to get into poly other than relying on vyon for it. that's it. deck has one of the craziest endboard, gas for days, easy otks, plays through nib... still folds if access to poly is denied

This is just how Konami makes money, they could easily make much more money by supporting fan favorite decks but they want to keep up with card lore and make people make fully new decks every format. "Yu-gi-oh needs rotation" nah it has it, its called making all other decks useless by power creep and bannings.

And as for the Nibiru problem. I think what would be more interesting than a negate would be a monster that scares the opponent into not wanting to use Nibiru. Like, there could be a HERO card where once its *removed* from the field you get a search of a significant card that allows HEROs to re-establish their board that wont be like the usual HERO endboards but something that can set up something just as equally threatening

They can't get anything they need because they already have everything else. Outside of BE and DM. Heroes have the most support of any archetype. Giving them what they need would make them meta, which would then cause them to get hit on the Ban List again and have the deck end up worse than when it started. They're forever doomed to being rogue.

I feel like one of the biggest problem of Heroes in general is the refusal to let old ways go Most of the new cards we get are effectively just more 1 offs to add to a pre-existing pile of cards which doesn't change much Not to mention a very good chunk of cards are straight up bricks that don't do anything while in the hand, Neos, the Malis, Increase, Sinister Neckrom, heck even this card sucks if you don't already have a HERO on the field Imo Heroes desperately need a card similar to phantom of yubel that'd let them play through handtraps while letting you do something with the bricks you end up drawing but with this likely being the last wave of Evil Hero support for the forseeable future I don't see that happening

This is a solid card for Hero. Especially, evil hero since the second effect works well with "Dark Fusion". But it definitely isn't a strong card. An extender so if you miss out somehow in making Cross crusader, you can special this and make it or any other hero link you need. Other than that, the usefulness is ok. I feel this is for them brick hands when you don't have any vision hero, and all you can do is e call summon stratos and they negate it and you just have to pass. That's literally the only situation I can really think this card can be helpful. Or a Fusion Destiny target? Idk this card is solid but still doesn't do much to push hero into the current meta of Yu-Gi-Oh. I'm going to try it out in my D Hero build but tbh, this is definitely a cuttable card

I feel like this is going to be a half decent extender when you combine it with the new Evil Hero stuff, but that's about it, sadly. It DOES give me cope that we might get a new Fusion or two though, Heroes are SO close to being viable. Just give us a couple of main deck Masked Heroes and we'd at least be able to cheese out Contrast

We need to cut on the bricks bad. Why are we still in 2025 only have 1 way to search poly. I made this card Elemental HERO gas soldier Fire Lvl 4 warrior 1500atk 1900def You can send 1 "Hero" monster, except "Elemental gas soldier", from your Deck to your GY; Special Summon this card from your hand, also you can only attack with Heros monster for the rest of this turn. If a "Hero" monster is Normal or Special Summoned to your field while you control this monster (except during the Damage Step): You can add 1 Polymerization or Spell/Trap that Hero in it text from your Deck to your hand. You can only use each effect of "gas soldier" once per turn. He essentially helps us get either fusion destiny, mask change or polymerization. We are at the point in yugioh where this effect is almost normal. Its genuinely feels like when they are down in sales they use hero players to make up back money because they know we'd buy it.

Happy early Birthday! But yeah, at first I thought this card was actually pretty good, but then after reading it carefully, it actually sucks. Heroes need a lot to be good. They can't always rely on Stratos to search, they need more searchers, more better extenders, better Extra Decks like at least an XYZ monster similar to Cyber Dragon Infinity or just any omni-negate, and ways to provide better advantage and follow-up. And retrains of older cards. The closest we got was Inferno Rage, but Heroes need more.

I have no idea why this is even a card? Okay fusion destiny is slightly better, and maybe you can make plasma easier. But that’s a big stretch in a 50 card deck. Hero needs more 1 card starters if the deck is pushing 60 cards. It may even be another “that grass looks greener” pile.

@2:16 “its so balanced”. thats the problem with yugioh and its players. if the card isnt BROKEN, its automatically trash. im not any type of hero player, so i honestly dont know how good or how bad the card actually is. however, i have 0 problems with balanced cards. if it wasnt balanced, and the deck/card became meta, then it would be hit on the bl in some way and then you are back to square 1 or even worse. im also not saying the shit we keep getting (or already have) is ok, but yugioh as a whole just need to be toned down just a bit. every deck doenst need onmi negates to be good, and you dont need a bunch of broken cards for a deck to be good either. Im just fine with an archetype 1-2 “broken” cards so you have a reason to play it over others and that they stand out in some sort of way. tldr: im just tired of people saying cards/decks are trash because they arent broken…
