I typically look at the dots inbetween the arrows and the foul line. Should I change where I look for certain patterns to give myself a better look? Trying to get more into tournament bowling but finding that line where I have a slight margin for error seems impossible.

Awesome video-best explanation of grip pressure ever! Using Mike's info (relaxing the grip equals freeing up arm swing) I shot a 267 in league last and 658 series. Thanks Mike!

you toss the ball pretty amazingly. Love the release. Going to look for the chart of this pattern. you made it look like a house shot with your great bowling with several different balls. Are you pro? Are you cashing?

I don’t want a hook with plastic. Not a good demo for the real sense of using plastic balls. I want to see using plastic balls as a spare ball only and where to set up with it. Thanks for taking the time to show your skills with plastic. Good job with that.

I'm a75 y/o I throw a 13# fingertip Twist ball. My speed is between 10 $ 11 1\2 mph. I tend to leave a 10 pin, a 7pin and almost all of my strikes are a brooklyn. I stand left side i am between the second and third arrow. I would like to be more consistent. Any help

I would of liked at the two last shots with closed and open you would of also explained what release you used. I suppose up the back for straighter shots as you'ved mentioned at the beginning of the video but what's bugging me is the deep inside shot ( witch i have trouble with) from that angle how you create that enormous hook ? Thanks !

Been bowling for 24 years. Around a 210 average. But I've never really known what I'm doing. Never read about bowling or had proper instruction. Just learned today that you're not supposed to bend your thumb. And I definitely do. I just practiced holding the ball while keeping my thumb straight.....I can already tell this is gonna be like learning all over again. Not to mention I'm gonna need to have tighter plug's put in the ball....

I bought a used Sure Lock and no hook really. People say balls die, and that must be the case. My Reality has 3x the hook. I am going to detoxify and a total resurface then toss it if it doesn't come back. Looks great in this video though!!

This is why I came up with my own 3 point. Because this is confusing as hell. 1) Determine your break point at the end of the pattern using PL-31 (or throw a few shots to find YOUR ideal break point) Draw a visual line from the break point, through the arrows, to the foul line. Now you have 3 points of reference. 1) Where you release at the foul line. 2) Where the ball crosses the arrows. 3) Where the ball hits the break point and starts to hook. Simple, easy. No 5 points on a pin focal point BS.

Mike , I felt your video was very much different from other 3-point targeting videos. Your presentation was very lax and lacking details on a fundamental level. Some of the details you provided did not appear in other targeting videos, so I assumed that this video was directed to the lesser skilled bowlers. I would have enjoyed the video more if there were more preparations and practice were developed before actually making the video.

Question, do you start with a weaker control ball on THS , then go to stronger balls as the night progresses, or do you go strong out of the gate, balling down as you run out of room to the left? TIA.

I just got a new ball recently and my new ball is hooking way to much. It might be the way I throw it though. I throw the ball at the 2nd arrow on the left because I am left handed. But sometimes I tend to cross over and throw it at the 3rd arrow. How can I fix this?
