Dude, I love your work. Every time I watch your videos I think I realize how mediocre I am at illustration. Great work.

I have no idea why I never thought to create elements that are straight/mechanical/etc separately in Illustrator like that, but I will definitely be employing that in future pieces! Thanks for the inspiration, and great work! (Especially dig your line quality)

Not many people would have the bravery to put something so emotional out there. I am sorry for your loss, well done for making this. Regardless of how I cannot understand the history behind it 'No bad days' is something I will take from this, a great message to put out there. Thanks.

Awesome speed art. Just want to know the brush you're using or something? I managed to draw an awesome sketch but unfortunately, can't figure out the brush that i'll be using since this is way too fast for me.

Joel Abad 2年前 it's the basic pressure sensitive photoshop brush. for the sketch lowering the oppacity, and for the final linework at its max.

I really enjoy your videos. I do have one question though.... You do most of your drawing and coloring in Illustrator using spot colors for separations but you go to photoshop for the gradients, (This may be a really stupid question.) How are you combining a PSD file, which is either RGB or CMYK to a spot color Illustrator file? Are you painting in a Spot Channel in Photoshop?

Let me just start by saying Incredible work! - This is quality for sure. But i have a question, and this is a sincere question, I am not trying to take anything from what you do, just simply learn. How is this profitable? is the profit in the qty sale? I ask because I've been doing shirts for a while and I know that Vector Art just has and will always have a relationship with T-shirt designs... but This is a time lapse. Now, this being said.. if its only 500% and you literally did this in an hour, than I'm just way slower than you (HOLY COW) but i know how this Line art goes... its a tedious process. I charge $250 for a design and i never touch a T-shirt. I'm curious to know how much you charge to do these like this because they are awesome and i need to know how much faster i need to get to volunteer this kind of work for what price?

Hey! Great work and channel. Do you use paint brush tool for the outline, or rather pen tool? which one do you prefer?
@Merchenaries7 жыл бұрын
Hey, thanks! (I'm working off this channel now, just so you know) I alternate between both tools. Sometimes you can lay a line down with the brush tool, but sometimes it's easier to use the pen tool.

Hi i am wondering if you could help me please! I'm very new to illustrator and photoshop and i intend on making some art work to screen print onto t-shirts, I was wondering if you could possibly show how you take your finished artwork for a piece like this and then separate it into the colours and line work (with the colours only touching up to the black lines and not going underneath lines) to print the positives for screen printing? and also do you ever colour any of your art in illustrator or only the linework in illustrator? Thanks heaps massive fan of your art aswell!
